    Degenerative Myelopathy

So has anyone researched / tried cannabis oil for DM? We are a relatively new diagnosis (October 2013) but noticed signs 2-3 months prior. Kirra also had 2 small seizures (Jan & May 2013). My husband has read tons of stuff on the treatment of MS, seizures, cancer, etc with the oil. Thoughts?

    Booties for DM

Just a word of caution, if you are going to use booties, please check your babies paws frequently for sore's between the toes or development of yeast. Both happened to my girl which we are still dealing with. She no longer wears the booties but we have mats ALL over the house for her which...

    Rich food causing vomit?

My 2 will get upset stomachs, gas and on occassion throw up if they have too much fat in their mix. I try to make it fairly lean and they seem to be much better off.

    Degenerative Myelopathy

Thank you so much for your reply SherylM. The only thing Kirra has dealt with is that in January and then in May she had a slight seizure. We are not sure why, but she recovered within minutes and was her old self immediately. I'm definitely going to do the L-glutamine. I have put down mats...

    Degenerative Myelopathy

Kirra was recently dx with DM, I know there is no cure, apparently not painful but I have started to give her supplements to see if this can be slowed down. Currently she is getting the following: - Vitamin C 1000mg/meal - Vitamin E 2000mg/day - Evening Primrose Oil 500mg/day - B-Complex...

Rock weighs between 75 & 80 lbs. He also takes Empower (vitamin/mineral) as well as coconut oil and wild salmon & fish oil.

    Anxiety / Stress Relieved

My Rock used to have high anxiety, he would whine in the vehicle, be super edgy on walks, pacing in the house when he thought someone was outside, etc. I put him on L-Theanine 125mg twice a day and it has made a world of difference. Just thought I'd share. :)

Gingival Hypertrophy / Epulis / Tumor - GONE!!

Hi all I just wanted to let you know that my Rock was diagnosed by my vet with gingival hypertrophy but I felt it was epulis. She wanted to clean his teeth and do surgery to remove, I wasn't too keen on that. I did a search and found a thread that said the following: "My female has had a...

Worried about putting my dog to sleep

I'm so sorry to hear about Tyson, I'm just going to put this out there for you to think about. My Rock had a growth on his gum and I tried Brocogen for him, I had him on it for about 3 months and it disappeared. I tried this because I found another thread somewhere on line that said: My...

    Torn ACL - surgery?

I have heard of dogs not having surgery but simply restricting their activity as well as some form of therapy and allowing the tear to heal. Here are a couple article on it: Dog ACL Injury-- Is Surgery Really Needed? Alternatives to Canine Surgeries - Whole Dog Journal Article Good luck

    Constantly licking feet

I would suggest adding coconut oil to his meals, start with 1 tsp and work up to 4-6. Coconut oil is antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal. I would also suggest getting a probiotic in pill/powder form as this will greatly help with gas, yeast, breath, overall immunity - this with a quality...

    how to clean yeasty paws?

I give the oregano & coconut oils orally, I just add it to their food and mix in. Once I started this my minpin's paws cleared up and (touch wood) there has been no return. My niece recently started using it and Ryder's paws have cleared up too, now if she could just get the ear infections...
