    Boxer Traits

WOO WOO SONG is kind of a howl. Kidney Beaning is when they are so happy to see you....the face and the tail end kind of meet and it looks like a kidney bean. Our little girl (4.5 m/o brindle) has a big brother to torment. She wears him out. This little pup hardly ever stops.

    How do Boxer pups "play"?

Boxer Pup (F) Playing with older Boxer (M) We have just brought home Roxy, a 3 month-old Female brindle. We already have a Boxer boy, 27 months. You should see these two play. Tugs of war, keep away, poking, pawing. OK sometimes Roxy gets knocked down, but feisty little thing that she is, she...

    I think he's nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jumping on people Training is working. Everyday we work on SIT / STAY. I think he's getting the idea. When someone comes in, it's SIT / STAY . I don't release the STAY command until the people are in the house and seated. The bean bag is something I hadn't thought, and it seems like a good...

    I think he's nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Tulsa-Dan: When i git home last night, the boy and I were alone, so we had a refresher course on sit- stay. Hyper guy that he is, it was tough for him, but we did get a 30 second stay, so that's a good thing. I guess it's back to basics with Jackson, and show him the way.

    Leg lifting

Thanks for your replies. Also, just wondering if having an older male dog (a 12 year old Dachshund) in the house has anything to do with this?

    Leg lifting

Another issue....Jackson is 16 months old, and has not lifted his leg once. He has plenty of trees to do this on, but no leg lifting yet. Is this normal or is something wrong. Jackson is not neutered. Is it too late to have him neutered?

    I think he's nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been part of this forum for quite awhile, but my guy is starting to concern me. Jackson is 16 months old, and still has all of his puppy energy. It's like he can't sit still for more than 5 minutes. He runs around like a nut, jumping on furniture and people, until he settles down and...

    Boxer Traits

Our monster is our 2nd boxer. He is Jackson, flashy fawn boy, natural ears, and 9 mos. old. He does all of the above including using me as a chew toy (just kind of slimes me). Runs like a maniac, and will hurdle you if you are in the way. After the running jag, he flops on the couch. He likes to...

Come command and chewing on people

Our little boy Jackson. is 6 month old 'puupy'. He is doing well with house braking, but does not obey a come command. Also, we have to stop the people chewing. I don't want to be a chew toy. Any suggestions how to correct this bnehavior, and how to train him to come? Thanks
