    In need of some help!!

Boxers are indoor dogs. Why was Santo left outside unattended? I would suggest crating him indoors when you're not available to supervise....

    adoption info

Unless you're going to show or breed the dog, there really is no reason to register the dog. You say she was adopted... most rescues retain superior title.

    female boxer buddies

What is it that you don't like about males? We have two female... and currently a female foster. However, we also have a strong male. This changes the pack dynamics.

    Ideal situation for fosters

Re: Re: Re: Ideal situation for fosters My wife Chris was coming home from the rescue farm, and the owner posted something about Chris and a surprise for "Johnnie." I asked, "Who's Johnnie?" Michael

    Ideal situation for fosters

I like to see a foster home thats as close to an adoptive home as possible. After all, the foster home is preparing the dog for its forever home! I don't expect anyone to be home all day; that's not realistic. If there are kids, cats or other dogs, they can help assess the the new foster...

    New Harness

The behavioralist at our local shelter sowed us how a person can do something similar to this harness with a regular lead. Hard to explain, but you loop the collar under one front leg, and run it through the hand loop. I'll try to get some pictures when I get a chance.

    help with very scared boy

We adopted Sprite almost three years ago. She's still a little skittish, but has come farther then we ever dreamed. Patience, moving slowly; this has helped. We try not to put Sprite into such situations. Most importantly, I think, we that we have not had high expectations. Occasionally...

Do the boxers in foster homes understand when they leave to go to their forever home?

It is our policy that the boxers must willing go with the new family! And so often, the don't look back. Its hard sometimes, we get attached, but the goal is to find thebest home, and whenwe take our time, I think we usually find it. I believe the dogs understand; boxers are smarter than...
