Boxers are just so MUCH ENTERTAINMENT!!!

Bell'a will, out of nowhere, for no reason, just start running like a jack rabbit through the living room!!!

She looks like a little bunny when she does it too!!

She uses her back legs just like a rabbit and runs like CRAZY around the coffee tables, (I call it her "doing her laps"), and then, just as suddenly, she'll just stop dead and lay down.

It's hilarious!

I can't imagine her doing this when she is full grown at 65 pounds or so, but I am sure she will!

We live in a double house, I am sure the neighbors will love it!

(Sorry, tried to respond 20 mins ago, but I guess there was a glitch on my end.) Nikita does the EXACT same thing. She's got a course she does around the livingroom which involves sliding under the chairs and coming back to the front window. And she does this exact course over and over! What's really funny though, is when she does it in the front yard (I've got a 26ft leash). She gets me tangled in trees, bushes and I feel like I'm flying in the air just trying to keep up with her! The neighbours must think I have a crazy dog!?! :eek:They always say to me "she's alot of work, ain't she?!

Not Work! FUN!!!

I haven't got the long leash yet to do this with Bell'a, it's so cold out, we just do our daily walks, really looking forward to it though!

It's just soooooooo funny!

That is what is called a "Boxer Burn". Aasha does this all the time. Just out of no where, runs like crazy then stops. It's great!

All the higher energy dogs I've had or known do some version of the "run around like a crazy dog" dance-including my current two. It's funny because different breeds have differnt names for it. For example, with boxers it's "burns", with pit bulls it's "zoomies".

Alas, a rose-or a burn-by any other name . . .

Not even just the high energy dogs... my greyhound did it too! (they are known at 45 mph couch potatoes in the greyhound lovers comunity because they are really laid back and low energy, even though you wouldn't think they would be ) Every day, once per day, he would go outside and do super fast laps around our backyard (huge backyard) and he made it look so tiny because of how fast he could run. Hurricane does his burns up and down the stairs in our apartments... now that is a sight to see!

Sophie can't do it in our house, we have laminate wood and she ends up crash diving into the sofa. LOL

We live in the country on a small farm so she has lots of room to burn. When my husband walks over to the barn, Sophie sees this as an opportunity to burn at full speed ahead. The end result is her usually leaping on our poor ole chocolate Lab. The way back from the barn usually finds her attacking DH's ankles. LOL

They are funny characters.
