claudia, where did you get the train? what a great idea.

thanks for the posting on the water, i had no idea it was toxic. fortunately tank can't get at it anyway, it's blocked in by presents and the stand has a very narrow opening so he can't fit his head in!

how do you guys keep your pups away from the presents? so far we have had no major disasters but tank is more interested in the bows on the gifts than i would like him to be. so far we have only allowed him around the tree when supervised and have blocked off the room at night.

Thanks to everyone for the info on the tree water. I am blocking the water too and only allowing Cassius in the living room supervised but every chance he gets he tried to chew on the tree branches. What do i do? Besides ofcourse makign him throw up are there any other negative side effects? We are trying as best as we can to keep him away from it, but i still catch him with little pieces of pine sticking out of his mouth! smashicon

Heidi is fascinated by the balls on the Christmas tree. I find her just standing in front of the tree staring into the glass balls! I have moved them to higher ground but I think it's only a matter of time before she has the urge to get one!

Presents are another issue I am waiting to see what happens. Last year she didn't mess with them but now she has more time by herself during the day it might be another story. I think I will put them up before I find them unwrapped!

I didn't know Christmas tree water was toxic either!! Thanks for the warning..Heidi can't reach the water on our tree, so I am glad for that.

No ornaments down low

We put our Christmas tree in the corner of our living room. But the girls can and do still walk under it. So we don't decorate the tree on the bottom branches. Keeps doggies safe and glass ornaments intact. It may look a little strange, but it's a small cost to keep our babies from breaking something and then possibly getting injured.

I am amazed. Our two are 18 months old, and we had no casualties at all with the tree or presents or anything else Christmas. I am so proud! Now that damn bird however....
