No snakes so far but one time they brought me a cute little fluffy......headless bunny.

Yes, when the dogs do something (BAD usually, or odd ) they become MY dogs! I did forget to mention it was a non-poison snake. It was one of the good ones that eats the poison ones. DH keeps telling me that the snake would have been a good thing to have around as they eat other snakes and rats! Keep this in mind- we live in the woods, so Im going to have to get used to this. It still creeps me out. I get the chills just thinking about it.

Ours haven't caught any snakes (yet), but I did get a lovely rabbit's foot one year for Mother's Day. Blake brought it in and dropped it right on the kitchen floor! DH still has a great time reminding me about this one :D. Poor Blake, I couldn't kiss that sweet smooshy face for days!

I can deal with snakes and rats but spiders give me the creepy crawlies all over! We live by a wooded creek area so we get our share of spiders throughout the year and most times, they find their way into our house. One particular year, we had a horrible time with wolf spiders. We thought that Abbi had lost her tennis ball under the kitchen table and was moving the chairs to try and get it. That was until we looked over at her and she had LEGS STICKING OUT OF HER MOUTH!! I about came unglued and told my dh that he needed to take care of that RIGHT NOW. We caught it in a tupperware and put it on the counter to show our apartment mangement what we were dealing with and to show them that we weren't crazy when we told them we had an unusually high amount of spiders in our place. We kept it there until it started moving across the counter!!! So we put it in the sink until the next morning, when we plunked it down on the manager's desk and said that they needed to do something about it. Bwaaahhh...creeps me out to just think about it!

OK - I can hardly stand this. I am absolutely horrified by spiders. Of all shapes and sizes and this is just freaking me out!!!!!!!! OMG it started moving the tupperware container across the counter - I would have PUKED and then passed clean out. UGgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh. I am going to be creeped out for days.

we have tons of them we have a snake hockey stick in our garage the boxer don't really care for them because they stay still when they approach so they aren't noticed by I sure do :eek:

Dolly and Dot encountered a Copperhead in our backyard last summer. It was the first time in 4 years we had a viper in our fenced backyard. Normally we find them in the side and front yards (isn't Oklahoma just lovely?) I saw the snake strike Dolly on the foot, but thought Dot was alright. Within a few minutes Dolly's leg began to swell and her respiration became irregular. In the meantime Dot laid down and was panting (turned out she took the strike just above the left eye). Both girls were rushed to the vets where he gave them each an injection and a script for Predrisone. We now keep Predrisone in the house just in case there's another encounter. It reduces the swelling and gives us the time needed to get them to the vet.

Don't you think my two silly girls would have learned from the experience? Oh no, not my stubborn Boxer girls. Early last week Dolly proudly pranced around the backyard with a very dead, young Copperhead snake. This was one day after we'd mowed the grass. One, or both, of the girls had broken it's back and miraculously neither girl was bitten. Sorry to say, but the only good viper is a dead viper.
