Yogi, the rescue ferret

We have a new addition to our family. Yogi the rescue, ferret. I got him from someone who was moving out of state. He was kept outside in his cage & I don't think he received much playtime. I have brought him indoors, treated him for fleas, changed his cedar bedding to aspen and now he is bouncing around like a happy ferret on his outings. (he stays in his cage when he can't be supervised. )

He had two small sores on his stomach, but they are healing now. I was afraid they were skin tumors, as ferrets are prone to them, but apparently, it was either a reaction to fleas or cedar oil. My son is in love with him. Our last ferret, Binks, passed away, a few months ago, at age seven (which is actually old in ferret years.) Ben was missing having a ferret around.

I have 5 ferrets myself and my mother has 5 as well. I actually rescued a boy last year that was kept outside in a rabbit hutch in the winter time and fed Parrot Food.

He was a sad sight, but we got him all cleaned up and now he is the BIGGEST sweetheart!

Yogi is so cute!! I am so glad he has found a home with you and your family. They are such happy, bouncy, fun animals.
