Brodie Update:

Blood work and Lomustine round 2 yesterday, went ok. His platelet count is low and I got the impression the oncologist was a bit concerned with that. We are scheduled for another blood test next Tuesday (June 12), hopefully everything looks better then.
I'm not sure what the plan will be if his platelet count doesn't come up or even what that means really.

Aside from that, his mood has been pretty good. He still tires out quicker than he used to but that is a bit nice sometimes, these dogs can pull a rope until your arm wants to fall off. It's nice that he gives out before I do for a change.
He has been a little down since yesterday afternoon, I expect the drugs took it out of him. I have noticed he's coming out of it slowly as he is chewing his bone right now.

There has been no mention from the oncologist of remission and I'm terified to ask, she's not exactly been the bearer of good news and I'm not sure I want to know the answer.
So we are just living day by day, lots of spoiling and lots of snuggling.

Hope everyone elses pups are doing good and thank you for the well wishes and prayers. Please let me know if there is anything i can do for any of the rest of you.

So sorry about Brodie, such a young pup to go through such a terrible disease. You did everything you could for him, sometimes even modern medicine can't help. RIP Brodie and run free at the bridge.

I am so sorry to hear about Brodie...I just went through the same thing with my Frazier this April...He would have been 4 years this August...I always tried to give him healthy foods, no grains high quality food..Acana...never any table food, no junk ect...but he got sick so fast, my said his prognosis wasn't good and we had to put him down May 4th.....I am glad your baby is doing well and I wish him to continue to be well! Good luck
