yet another avatar question (sorry)

Sorry for yet what seems like another avatar question. I am new to Boxerworld & would love to get Lailas' pic on my forum posts, but I can not figure out how to downsize her photo. I am getting sooooo frustrated. I have down loaded one of the easy thumbnails site (Fookes) but can't figure out what to do from there.

I use a different program so I can't help you figure out to resize the picture. If you want to send me the picture, I can resize it for you. If you're interested, send me a PM and I will send you my email address.

I've given up trying! I got one picture on a couple of years ago and have never been able to do it since. I've tried everything that's been suggested on the boards to no avail. I've just stopped trying.

It's a free download and it's not as difficult as it looks. If I can figure it, out anyone can.

Once you have downloaded the program, open it and you click on the the open file folder to pick the picture that you want to work with. Then click on "file" and click "save as." A window pops up and on the right hand side and at the very top there is a slider bar. Slide the square to the left and save it under a different name. Make sure you save it as a JPG file. You need to make sure that the KB is less than 100. You can reopen the file in Irfanview and it shows at the bottom what the KB is. If it is to big or too small you can reopen the orignal pic and change it.

I hope it makes sense. I know I'm not explaining it very well.

agghhhh!! i am definatly computer challenged!!! i think i'm going to have to take someone up on there offter to resize this for me. thanks to all of you who have volunteered to help

appicon yeah!!!! I did it! well, not really, but I got her pic up finally. Thanks Paul & everyone else with their advice! one of these days I'll figure it out for myself
