Boxer Booster
I have an appointment at the vet on thursday, but I thought I'd ask anyway...My baby Tyler, almost 5 years old, has recently been yelping when getting up from sleeping (or lying down for an extended period of time). The one noise that truly breaks my heart is when my babies cry like this, so it's really bothering me. He yelps as he gets up, and then he's fine. No limping, no favoring of any legs, and I looked/felt all legs and toes and everything seems to be fine. I know he's getting older, so I worry about his joints, but he's still under 5 years old! We did just move in to a new home with stairs (which he's not really used to) and he put on some weight about 11 months ago while we were on our honeymoon (and we've been working on getting off). Has anyone else had this experience? He seems to run and play just fine, its just the yelping after long periods of lying down...I'm expecting that he either has arthritis, a sprained something, hip dysplasia, or his old HOD (hypertrophic osteodystrophy) from when he was a puppy....
