Okay after help from a previous posted thread and further research i'm quite sure our boy has wry jaw. The description is exactly what he has. So my question, is this bad? Is it purely a cosmetic issue or more? The one site i found basically only said dogs with this should not be bred, and that was about it. Could it cause more issues? Is it painful? I hope the vet knows about this condition cause i have a lot of questions.

Indeed, being a genetic problem, affected dogs should not be bred - even if it's only slightly affected, since any offspring may be more affected.

As for if it's a big problem - the answer is that it can be. Dogs with severely wry mouths may have difficulty even consuming food. Beyond that, however, it's really only a cosmetic issue. That is to say, if your dog isn't so badly affected as to have difficulty eating, then it's not such a big deal. It might look a little funny, and his tongue may hang out one side - but that never killed anybody ;) I guess it's possible that the dog may do himself a few mouth injuries now and again though.
