I'm not sure where I should have put this message. For my composition course, I am doing an essay bad reputation that boxers have received. At this point I am looking for examples of actual attacks by boxers, and hopefully a reason the boxer acted that way. The three topics I was planning on using, was the owner's treatment of the dog, the boxer protecting its family, and a boxer being instigated. If anyone knows where I can find example, or if you know personally of an instance of this happening, I would greatly appreciate any information. I thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Thank you,
Mykal

Pringle the hero, (ahem)!

Hi, dont know if this is any help but well anyway, about 5 years ago, when "pringle" (our late boxer)was about 3 there was a HUGE rottweiler who used to roam out village & our pringle was scared stiff of it, in fact I believe this dog was "top dog" & every dog was scared of it. My wife & pringle were out for a walk with our new born son who was in his pram when suddenly pringle stopped & stared. In our direction loomed this rottweiller & he was heading straight towards them. This time, instead of putting his head down & shying away, he went close to the pram as this rottweiler came to investigate. The Rottweiler got to within about six feet & pringle tensed up more & started growling & didnt stop till the rottweiler thought better of it & walked away. My wife was amazed , she really knew pringle protected our son then & realized just how brave pringle really was.
Seeing that rottweilers "bear " bum was rare sight.
Anyway, just my two pence worth.

There is a story you can read in the Rainbow Bridge, it is called "sad & mad at my boxer". That is the only story I know of. The last time I checked the person that wrote it had only written the story, then nothing else. Don't know if it would help or not.

aren't there many stories in the boxers and childrens section?
stories of attacks and all (mostly with adopted/rescued dogs)
can be very interesting for your course I would say

Not sure that posts on a forum is exactly what you're looking for, but if so, you could probably find a lot of information by searching for threads in the training and behaviour forums on "aggression". Now while most of the things in there are more minor, people who have had trouble with their boxers, including those who have attacked/bitten a person, have often posted there looking for training advice. The only issue I see - that you'd need to take into account - is that you rarely get the whole story (history, circumstances, followup) in those sorts of posts.
