Worst day ever! (venting sorry!)

Sorry about your knee, the whole episode sounds like the kind of thing that would happen to me. I either have Samson in his crate or the backyard, so there hasn't been much mess in the house, but my backyard is awful! He has dug deep holes and chewed up every toy or tool he could find. Sorry about your couch and comforter - lots harder to replace than dirt and toys.

On a more serious note, I had to take Greta to the vet today. Last night she started hacking like she was trying to cough something up. It subsided, and I didn't think much else about it. After I fed her this morning though, it got much worse. She had some foamy drool around her chops and she continued to hack like crazy. She's at the vet right now and they're going to x-ray her and check it out. I think she probably ate some cushion foam and down feathers and they're stuck in her tummy. I'm so scared for her! I'm really worried ~ please everyone keep your fingers crossed for her. :confused:

Good news!

The vet said Greta is full of couch cushion foam and down feathers. They've given her some kind of laxatives in the hope she will pass all of it. She's been doing ok so far, and as long she passes all of it, they won't have to open her up. Sgbtab - thanks for the hugs. She will need it today!!

I think she's passed most of the fluff. She seems to be fine ~ she's pretty gassy though but rightly so. She's resting now & will be fine. Thanks for all the +vibes!!

Wow you did have a bad day!

I remember about a week after i got Lily she slipped her collar and went for a romp in a feild next to the beach i was walking her on. Not to mention it was pitch black! i was stressing big time.

Good to hear she is passing it well, just watch for the gas, a feather might just puff out at the same time

LOL!!! Hilarious!!!! She still seems ok so I'm glad I can laugh about it now!! There's still a few feathers floating around here & there ~ now maybe I know where they came from....
