I haven't posted here in a while but this afternoon our boxer, Lewis, started to drool excessively. He was fine before he went out side and ran. Came in and seemed fine. I noticed about an hour later that he was drooling quite badly. Never seen him do this before except if we are eating dinner or a snack.

Ideas??? Should I call the vet?

Thanks so much,
Cindy

I know that when my Wyatt got sick, he had started drooling excessively. Usually it is indicative of stomach upset. I would always advise to see a vet it you just don't think things are right.

I thought that he was really excited but I think he has an upset stomach. He acts like he a little depressed but I don't know why. Thanks for the info, I will keep an eye on him...

Is it possible that he got into something when he was outside?

That happened to Cassius once. When I took him outside for his walk he started eating the grass. When he got back into the house the drooling stopped. I just assumed that it was an upset stomach.

Thank you for all your help. Lewis had an upset tummy.. Gave him a dose of Pepto Bismo (1 tsp) and he's fine today. Chasing the cats everywhere.
