Working full time, is it fair to get a puppy - long

Wondering if it's unfair of me to get a 10 week male puppy, I have "fergus's mom, a 3 year brindle. I am single, no kids, work full time. Which means the puppy would have 2-3 hours out of crate in the morning and again in the evening. I'd come home once during day to let him out. Am I crazy to think, this will work out? Thanks for any advice.. I should add that I do know a breeder who will let me "foster" her dogs... So that my girl can get plenty of boxer interactions. Thanks again. I think the longest, time in the crate could end up being 5 hours.
He has slept thru the night for 6 hours.

The vast majority of dog owners work full time. As long as you are able to commit time so that puppy is able to get out his energy, I don't think at all that working full time means a person can't get a puppy.

Sounds like me and my husband! We don't have any kids (yet) and we work full time. Our puppy doesn't seem to mind.He is now 13 wks but our routine has been like this from the beginning. He gets 2 hrs of play time in the morning, about 45 minutes for lunch then we are home by 5 or 6 every night and we play hard until he crashes. He has yet to stay awake past 8:30 during the work week. We don't have this routine on the weekends but he still lets us know he needs the same amount of sleep he gets during the week days when we are at work. When he gets pooped out, he crashes. We try to keep him awake and playing on the weekends but he still takes those long long naps during the day.

Although bringing home a puppy has been a huge lifestyle change for my husband and I, we have loved it. Our lives now revolve around this goofy furbaby that we fell in love with instantly. We had a couple rough weeks in the beginning with him holding his bladder but for the most part he is a pro at not going potty in his cage. I feel no guilt when we are at work as long as one of us gets to come home for lunch and one of us is home by 6 in the afternoon. Most of the time when we come home he is still asleep in his cage. But once he is awake he is a hyper little monster!

Thank you both... I decided to let him go to a family, he will be well loved(I hope). I will look for another fur baby, once my 3 year behaves perfectly. . It was a very tough decision to let him go.

Thank you for comments. I now have a 3 month old, cropped, docked, sweet, flashy fawn male to go with my frisky 3 year old brindle girl... Hope I survive.
