I am glad to say that i have gotten a new boxer baby... her name is paris she is a plain reverse brindle... and i didnt even have to pay a dime for her... here is her story

while i was in walmart.. (love walmart) i was looking around in the pet section at toys etc... when a lady came up to me and asked if i had dogs.. i said yes i have a boxer i keep inside and a chow chow i keep outside.. when i said boxer her eyes lit up.. and she explained how she had listened to a friend and bought a boxer even when she wasnt sure she wanted one... but she did buy it and got it home and had no idea what to do... she works all day and doesnt have any time for the pup at all and the pup wasnt going potty in the house all day because no one was there to teach her etc....... so i agreed to take the pup.. (there was never any doubt)... i picked her up one week ago today... so far things are going just fine with both girls.. lylah is 11 months old now and paris is 3 months.. they are just a smidge jealous of each other but nothing that special quality seperate time with me doesnt fix fast... so everyone keep their fingers crossed that these two girls remain friends and no fighting starts.. if any one has any advice on raising two.. please let me know..thanks everyone .. sorry so long... i love my two boxer girls sooo much...

Great Story! I love a happy ending.

Two boxers are wonderful. They will definately play hard and sleep hard. They will tire each other out.

Maybe someone could shed some light on the subject of raising two females. I don't remember if I read something or heard something to the effect that the females hold grudges. If two females get into a fight, the likelyhood of them fighting all the time is higher. I've got two females, but only one is purebred boxer.

I've found some good deals at Wal-Mart, but that has to be the best ever. I think I'm going to go hang out in the pet section at my Wal-mart!

Your story is so sweet, Marvie, congrats on the newest addition to your family :)

I have two female boxers, 3 yrs and 2-1/2 yrs, and they get along great! When we first brought home the younger one, there was a little jealousy from the older one, but in time it went away (mostly). My older girl, although she's smaller, has always kept a mental advangage over the younger. Kind of like "I was here first, so it's up to you to fit into my house". They play hard and have had a few spats, but I've never had to break them up. I would if it got serious, but I they are just establishing who rules, who follows. I think you should be ok with two females, especially getting them so close in age. But I will say definitely don't let them get into a "real" fight, then they probably will hate each other.

Congratulations on your new baby!! You'll be giving her the love and attention she deserves. I'm glad that lady knew that she wasn't doing right by her puppy and gave her to you. I wish more people could look at themselves through open eyes and recognize their mistakes and have the strength do something about it. Hats off to both of you!!
