wont stop itching

My 7 month old boxer mix is starting to wory me. Valkrie is itchy, she will bite at her self untell i make her stop. Normaly I would think its fleas or something but I looked and there isn't any bugs on her. She normaly bites at her nipples and now they are red and one is scabed over from her bitting. If we didn't stop her I am afraid she would bite the nipple off. :( She is fixed and will be taking her to the vet on Monday. Just woundering if anyone may know why she is doing this or had any sugestions to get her to not to bit her self.

We have tried using bitter apples but she loves the tast. :(

What kind of food is she eating? I only ask because our boy is extremely sensitive to certain things.

It does sound like your girl may have an allergy issue. Try a search on allergies and you'll probably find tons of info.

Sounds like an allergy of some sort. My dog I had as a kid used to chew holes in herself from being so itchy. Maybe you should talk to your vet.

hi ok im back from the vet and she said that she didn't know what was wrong with my baby. The vet said she didn't think that Valkrie was alergic to anything and just said, "Your making a mountion out of a mole hill" So we will be going to a new vet but was just woundering if anybody had any idea of anything I could put on her to stop her itching tell we find out what is going on with her.

Now i'm realy confussed.
