i just had a home built and the sod was put in the back yard 2 wks before we moved in. Needless to say the sod isnt fully "attached" yet. When I let Boss (12wks old) outside he does his regular potty routine but now he is tearing the sod up and digging holes all over the place. What do i do? I have bought NO DIG sprays, i even would bury his poo in the hole and recover with whatever amount of sod i have left of the patch the hole up. I read boxers are diggers but this is ridiculous

Yes boxers do like to dig! My 2 practically wrecked my lawn at my old house. I did put their poops in the holes and that stopped that hole but then they'd dig another. I sympathise and hope someone can help :(

I have a 10 month old doberman pinscher as well and she is even picking up his digging traits..its so funny because when they see that i am watching them dig they freeze up and clumps of sod fall out of their mouths! Its cute but i need it to stop

The only way to stop it is to be out there with him and redirect him everytime. Ideally, as he is a digger, you give him a place where it is okay to dig and make it attractice. I picked a place under a large shrub and left "prizes" in it. Cookies, bones, toys and would show my girls. After awhile they would make a beeline for it to see "thier spot". Once they get used to it they will bring thier own "prizes to it. It takes awhile but if you keep at it it does stick. The spot out there was inherited by my current girl from my last sweet pup. It is interesting to watch too as they never potty in there and mine loved to take naps in there in the summer. Kind of an outdoor crate :) Good luck
