Wondering about collapse episode & mastitis

Hi this might be kind of long... My 3 yr.old Lola had puppies (part of contract w/breeder) 6 weeks ago. She ended up with mastitis, was dehydrated, and collapsed in all 4 times.
The last 3 times all occured within a 12 hour period, the last collapse occurred at the vets and her legs were shaking. Each episode only Lasted seconds, and she seemed aware.

Her white blood cell count was sky high, No heart issues detected. she responded well to liquids & antibiotics for the mastitis .

The first collapse occurred 2 weeks earlier when she was with breeder, the ER-vet thought it must be her heart, since boxer are known for heart issues....

So my question... Has anybody experienced anything similar? Oh yes, she had 10 healthy puppies and was an awesome mom. Thank you. I am worried that she and the puppies might have health issues. Also wondering if mastitis is common.

Just in case you are wondering, I took her to ER Vet twice, they really found nothing after several hours... My vet on the hand was wonderful, whew, cause I think she would have died.

Your poor girl! I never heard of this as I have never bred a dog. From what I just read mastitis is not overly common but more common in Mastiffs. I only read two articles and both said you should be putting warm compresses on the infected teat to draw the infection out.

She is much, much better & I am glad to have her home. The collapsing has me concerned, as that is not generally associated with bacterial infections. I'll check with my vet & see what more I can learn & what tests are available for mom & the puppies. Kind of wondering about the breeder who was willing to send a 6 week pup home with me...... But that's another forum. So thankful for this site.
