Wondering about a lump on my girl's leg

My girl Shelby recently developed a lump on her leg. I can't really find anything quite like it in my searching. It had started to shrink, but now it has gotten bigger. I have to find a vet for her since she hasn't been ill since we have gotten her. I will be calling around on Monday, but in the meantime, I was just wondering what it could be.

Has anyone else seen something like this before?

I really don't know what that is. While searching for a vet go online and look at reviews from local people to help get a good one.

Thanks! I have some friends who have recommended some vets. I didn't think about looking for online reviews. I just hope it is nothing major. She has never really been sick. When we first got her 6 years ago, she wasn't in the best shape because of sensitivities to the cheap food her previous owners were feeding her. But that was an easy fix. She doesn't act like it bothers her.

Boxers are very prone to getting lumps, everyone of our Boxers has always had so many of them. I guess that ties in with Boxers being so prone to cancer and all. With all the lumps we have have encountered, none have ever been bad and for the most part, our vet didnt bother doing anything with them because it wasnt necessary to put them through the procedures.

With you saying it shrunk but then got bigger, that seemed to always be the case with ours as well. If the lump is in the skin and not on the muscle or bone then, according to what the vet told us, there shouldnt be any issue with it.

I think you are doing the best thing and having it looked at. Wishing you and Shelby good luck in this
