Wisconsin Boxer Bash

Rocky and I made the 1.5 hour drive up to Columbus from the Milwaukee area with my friend Heather and her boxer Shyann (they came up from IL to my house then we all went together!) . It was TONS of fun! I'm so glad we finally go to go this year!

Rocky did well once I put his harness on - able to walk nice inside with all of the other dogs and tight spaces I was surprised he did so well honestly. I never could bring my senior girl, Dharma, she gets too worked up when she sees other dogs.

Rocky embarrassed me enough though once he saw the lure course going he FLIPPED out. Loud screaming, barking, trying to jump into the course when it wasn't his turn. I'm thankful I had my friend there because she waited in line for us and then waived me over when it was Rocky's turn!

He had a blast and so did we! Bake sale was amazing and so were all the awesome raffle prizes, etc. What a great event!

Rocky and I will definitely plan on coming next year!! Thank you GABR! It was great!

Lauren~ I wish I'd known you were coming. It would've been nice to meet you. I'm sure I would've known Rocky if I'd seen him. You said he is so tall. Leah stayed home this year. She gets so wild and sometimes....naughty.

Isn't the bash a good time? My niece and I stayed for 3.5 hours. Came home with WAY too many baked goods. Most of it is gone already!

Leah made it in the calendar this year. I was happy about that. I so wanted to win the stained glass made by Brooke. Did you see it? It was beautiful.

Glad you had fun and are now "hooked" on the bash. An event not to miss, that's for sure.

I told them all he was mixed and we had gotten him as a pup so we didn't know what he was, etc. They all loved him though - he was such a good boy (for the most part minus the lure course).

I'll have to look at the lure course photos and see if I can find him. Leah goes bonkers with the lure course. She jumps and jumps and whines. It's un real. She loves it, but as she is getting older I fear a blown knee or something like that. She runs like the wind and doesn't know how to stop. Makes me a bit nervous. I'll probably bring her next year. She'll be 6 then and maybe not so crazy.

Thank you so much for coming! We really appreciate the support, and I'm glad you had a good time. My foster dog Kaiser ran the lure course a few times. He was so tired Saturday night that he wouldn't even get up for a treat.

Didn't see Kaiser run, but how did he do being the donation dog? He's a nice looking old guy. He looks very attached to you!

Did you see your daughter with the little boxer pup? She was all over with the little one. Oh, and she(A)is very cute, too!

Also, did you see that boxer with the long hair? I talked to them on the way out because I heard the guy say he is pure breed. His wife or gf had along the dna papers to show he was pure breed. Very interesting. The first thing I thought of was a recessive hair gene. I guess that's what it is. Nice looking dog, a bit wierd with the long hair in spots.
