Hi everyone, I just wanted to mention that Green Acres Boxer Rescue of Wisconsin's Boxer Bash is coming up on September 22nd. We'll have lure coursing, raffle, silent auction, vendors, food, bake sale and more stuff that I'm probably just forgetting at the moment! I know some of our BoxerWorld friends have come in the past so I hope to see some of you there!

Claudia, I will be there. Can't wait. This may sound bad, but I may not bring Leah this year. I know..how bad is that? I really would like to take time to look at the awesome raffle tables and get through the delicious baked goods without Leah going ape on another dog. Sometimes she is naughty with other dogs. She is also a pain when she sees that lure course in action. She is always the ding dong that is jumping over the fence to get in. Your dh helped us a couple of times last year as we waited in line. Your daughter laughed so hard at Leah because she can't sit still and wait her turn. I'll see how I feel about it as we get closer.

I make a plea to all WI BW members to attend this fundraiser. GABR is an awesome rescue with dedicated volunteers to help out Boxers and find forever homes for this wonderful breed. Check out the home page Add a Little Character to Your Life! or facebook. There is a link to the Columbus area and other things to do and area hotels.

Amy, I would never be able to bring my female Boxer, in all honesty. Despite my best efforts at keeping her socialized, she has gotten pretty feisty around other dogs. For other people, their dogs are so placid that it works out great to bring them. There is plenty to do, with or without a dog! With a dog, you can do the lure course and the contests. Without a dog, it's a little easier to check out the bake sale, bid on auction items, browse the vendor booths, etc. Win-win either way!

Would love to go, but A) Green Bay is the other side of Wisconsin, haha.

But more importantly, there is a fundraiser here in MN for boxers as well, called Wiggle Fest! Not sure is Boxerworld has approved this organization, so I won't mention it. But it is the local Boxer rescue. Yay for a day of boxers!!!

Thanks in advance for coming! Are you on our Facebook page? One of our volunteers has been posting bake sale photos and I can just feel my sweet tooth kicking in.

Woohoo!!

Rocky and I made the 1.5 hour drive up to Columbus from the Milwaukee area with my friend Heather and her boxer Shyann (they came up from IL to my house then we all went together!) . It was TONS of fun! I'm so glad we finally go to go this year!

Rocky did well once I put his harness on - able to walk nice inside with all of the other dogs and tight spaces I was surprised he did so well honestly. I never could bring my senior girl, Dharma, she gets too worked up when she sees other dogs.

Rocky embarrassed me enough though once he saw the lure course going he FLIPPED out. Loud screaming, barking, trying to jump into the course when it wasn't his turn. I'm thankful I had my friend there because she waited in line for us and then waived me over when it was Rocky's turn!

He had a blast and so did we! Bake sale was amazing and so were all the awesome raffle prizes, etc. What a great event!

Rocky and I will definitely plan on coming next year!! Thank you GABR! It was great!

Thank you so much for coming! We really appreciate the support, and I'm glad you had a good time. My foster dog Kaiser ran the lure course a few times. He was so tired Saturday night that he wouldn't even get up for a treat.
