winter

I am new to the message boards, dogs and also to boxers. We adopted a 17 month old and I have a question about what to do with her in the winter. We live in CO and there are going to be days when we can take her out. How will she get the proper exercise?

Hi and welcome to the forums
I am not familiar with your weather conditions in winter. Is it very cold at your place? In Moscow we have severe winters sometimes, the temperature can drop down to -20 C. Anyway dogs usually cope fine. When it gets to fristy all short-haired dogs (including my Tina) wear doggy sweaters and coats outside. Dogs love snow so they usually run a lot and play a lot (as if they understand that they have to be active to stay warm) :D I take my Tina out about 4 times a day for shorter periods and she seems happy

Very good chose getting a boxer dog they are lovely
If the weather is not to nice then try taking him out for short works and keep him moving but if this does not work then amuse him in the house and i think that will be ok for a day or two.:D
If all fails then by him a doggy coat.:p
