Completely Boxer Crazy
I love your question because it is so very true for me. The bond I had with Magic was so strong. Magic and I worked in harmony together; we had a special rhythm as we shared our life together. After she passed away, I got Deeg. As first, I thought I had made a mistake to get him so soon after I lost Magic. Now I see it was a smart thing to do as he has helped me through my grieving process with his crazy boxer tactics. Deeg was an unruly teenager. He came from a boxer rescue straight to our home. He had very little training and tested us to the hilt. It took some time but Deeg and I now have our own special bond. Our bond is diffrent than what Magic and I had, and for that, I am so grateful. What I love most about Magic and Deeg is looking deep into their eyes. Both of them look back at me in a way that tells me we are truly bonded. I have had other pets in my past and have never felt this type of bond before. I feel so disappointed in Magic's death as I thought for sure I'd still feel our bond even if her physical body wasn't with me...but I don't. I miss her so much.Winniesmom said:Have any of you been able to have such a strong bond with another boxer? I love my baby girl (Remington) but Winchester and I had such a strong bond.
I am so very sorry for the loss of your good friend; I know it is so hard. I wish things could be different for you and your Winchester. I had 4 months to say good-bye to Magic and it still wasn't enough time. I can't even imagine how you must be feeling to have lost Winchester so suddenly. Please know that my tears and thoughts are with you.
Magic, please give Winchester lots of boxer loves and kisses.
