Wilma saved Em !

At 4:30 am this morning Wilma bolted out of bed, past our bed and out her doggy door like a bolt of lightening. I looked out my window to see Wilma on her hind legs against the fence barking and growling at a GIANT owl. This owl was at least 18-24 inches tall and about 10 inched in diameter. It was sitting in our Palo Verde tree and Wilma scared it away. This owl could have easily scooped Em up and off he would have gone. These owls are notorious for picking up cats and small dogs. This owl had a huge wing span and passed right in front of my window. Wilma pranced right back in and stood at the end of the bed. How could I not invite her in to snuggle?????? She is our hero!

That's one of the reasons I don't let the cats outside. There is an owl that lives in my neighborhood and I'm afraid it might scoop up Lucy or Coco.

Wilma deserves a special treat.

Go going Wilma. We have a great horned owl in the woods near our house. He's huge!!! My neighbor's Italian Greyhounds would definitely make a good meal for him.
