I have a 2 year old fawn. Whenever she sees someone she does not usually see everyday, she goes crazy, shaking her whole body from excitment. She tries to jump on people and scrathes them and can knock down little kids. It's sad because then we have to confine and I hate to do that. Can anyone help?

I CAN HELP!

Get used to it! Ha ha... The wiggling will never stop. The jumping will subside some. I've done everything in the world and can't get him to not be excited when new people come over. He does better and better every time...but will still always jump up at least once to try to sneak some kisses in. Bad dog. I know. Bad mommy. I know. I can only give him so many treats to stop him from the greeting...

Good luck. I know there are lots of boxer owners with this problem and some are actually TRAINED!

I thought Sasha was a wiggler....WRONG....we got Telmar last month and his nickname is Mr. Wiggles as he wiggles non stop....even when he is NOT that excited...if he is excited it is magnified 10 times!! I love it!!
Sasha, Telmar and Lisa:)

Try keeping him on a leash for about 10 - 15 minutes when people come over. Let him get his excitement out of his system and then take him off of the leash. This has seemed to "help" a bit with our dog.
