Why would Gunther be shaking his head

I looked up other posts on this and I don't feel this is a head tremor. Every now and then Gunther will shake his head as if it's wet and he wants to get the water off. I recently cleaned his ears and there was barely anything to clean and there is no oder from his ears. He scratches the side of his mouth now and then. I was wondering if he just can't get to his ear. If some water got in his ear, how long would it stay there? Can an ear problem be that deep that I wouldn't see or smell it? Or could this be something else? His behavior and eating habits are normal. Nothing that I can tell has changed. Gunther will soon be 9 months old.

Jesse shakes her head often mostly when she is sleeping and wakes up, as soon as she stands she shakes. It is completely normal.

The only thing that I can think of is that he has an ear infection. You may not be able to see or smell anything if he has an ear infection, but that would explain the shaking of his head.

Willis shakes his head whenever he gets up from a nap or throughout the day. That's my alarm in the morning! I just think of it as him making sure his ears are on straight...

Well, My kids shake their heads, butts, and legs. Seriously, if he is shaking alot-get it checked out. He could have an ear infection and the vet could see down in his ear-also could be ear mites-they will cause them to shake their head also.
