Can any one tell me what the paper eating thing is about? Otto, goes nuts for any kind of paper...TP(he loves to unroll it!!), kleenex( I've had to buy garbage cans with small flippy lids--he can't get his big head in them!!), any color school papers the kids bring thru the door, bank statements.....thank God it's not Tax season yet!
We don't leave alot laying around and have him confined to the kitchen usually, but just leave a magazine unattended or heaven forbid a library book and watch out----NO-NO CHOMPER!

He's 5 months old now and has most of his big boy teeth in.

I don't know why they like paper. Olli (9 mo.) likes paper too. We don't usually leave him inside alone but the few times he has been left he chews up the phone books, magazines and other papers. It is never anything else like shoes or furniture.

I'm really sorry to tell you this but it only continues :D :D :D

Monty is two and and a bit and paper or anything else similar, especially coming through the letter box, is his main role in life to dispose of.
We have two postmen who deliver. One refuses to enter the premises if Monty is out, the other accepts if he enters he has his neck and ears thoroughly washed :D :D

In the home Monty loves any packages, tubes from toilet rolls or kitchen rolls are his favorites, but egg boxes and any cardboard packages take the place of any toys. He just loves to rip them to pieces.

Outside I never need to take any balls to throw, he finds plastic botttles, sticks etc. It's so windy at the moment that he is so entertained by the leaves blowing about.

I must say that I do give him all the tubes that I finish with so maybe I'm encouraging him unintentionallysmashicon smashicon

Boy can I relate. I have told this story on a similar post but will tell it again. We knew Bailey had a "thing" for paper but one day I accidently left $350.00 on the nightstand. Needless to say we got home and the money was half gone. She doesn't like to play with it she likes to eat it. Anyway, I know it's gross but yes I did get my money back and I don't leave paper, especially money laying around anymore.:D

Oh Bridget, i must have missed that post, yuk!

A few months backs some neighbor kids decided to teepee our house, it took them 3 hours and about 30 rolls of toilet paper. Well a few rolls ended up in our backyard so Roxanne decided to help and teepeed the inside!!

Paper is not a safe commodity in this house.
Bodie pretty much leaves it alone but Katie
will eat or tear up anything that is paper.
The living room has to be picked at least once a day.
I didnt know we had this much paper in the house!

Jasper is not too bad with paper (he prefers cardboard - hauls the empty cereal boxes out of the trash). My main paper munchers are Piper and Basil.

Piper loves TP and pretty much any book or magazine that is left around. I found out the hard way. A couple of weeks after getting her, she ate Chronicles out of my bible. (Actually she just chewed it and dropped it. I managed to find all the pieces)

Basil my cat loves making confetti out of any paper. His sharp pussy teeth do a good job too. When he's in the mood, the kids pretend he is a hole puncher and get him to "punch" their tickets!
