Why does she do that?

Our 9 mo. old Fawn female Boxer,Honey looks out the window and barks at nothing and she won't stop. How do I make her stop?

At nothing? maybe there's something out there that she feels is a threat. Have you tried taking her out there? If you use the search button and look up barking I think there is some info there, teaching your dog to bark in order to stop the barking. Sometimes Ozzy will bark and when I look, nothing there, it ends up being the wind blowing a branch or a cat going by, a leaf!!!

Yep, Ramos #1 leaf killer in the neighborhood. It's amazing what our babies take interest in, as a threat or not and like it has been said before, she could have seen something that wasn't there by the time you looked. I wouldn't worry too much unless it becomes a constant problem.

Beau doesn't bark much at all, but sometimes when I take him outside, he will stand in one spot and stare at something invisible until I drag him into the house. I just chalk it up to animal intuition. I guess maybe blinds and curtains are one option. That way when she starts barking, you can close them and there will be nothing to bark at.

Adam is my window watcher! He lets me know if a leaf has blown into the neighbors yard! LOL When he starts barking, I always ask him to "show me". Usually, he will stop barking and just look out the window at what ever he thinks he sees. If I dont see anything, I tell him "there's nothing there, be a good boy", if he's barking at a neighbor (that I like :D) I tell him "That's so-and-so, it's ok". He is learning not to bark at some of the neighbors now On the good side, I dont hardly Ever get door-to-door salesmen!! LOL
