Why do they walk in circles before laying down?

This is fun.

Adam is a BIG circler!! He goes around so many times it makes ME dizzy!!! LOL Then he goes PLOP with a big *sigh* So, if they circle:
1. to make a nest, Adam is very comfy
2. if they circle to keep out dreams, Adam has mega nitemares
3. if its for their back, Adam definitely needs that because of all his clowning around rolling on the floor wiggling and wooing with his feet in the air being a goof that he is!! LOL

Evie is content just to come snuggle & go to sleep.

Gotta love em!

Chief was always a circler, but Molly & Major are huge circlers, turning so many times somenights i just end up saying lay down or get off the bed! they seem to stop then & look at me & then just lay down right there!sulkily looking at me as if to say well I am NOT comfy yet!

Lucky circles so many times before she lays down. She also makes sure all the pillows (on the couch) or blankets are where they should be. Like others have said, then comes the huge sigh when she finally falls into THE spot. We just like calling it her "comfy dance."

Sirus has always done this...anywhere he wants to lay down, he's got to circle first! And of course...the sigh follows! I have always found this very amusing!

its so funny when they do that. Ping will get to spinning and sometimes just will not stop.. im lying there trying to read a book or something and out of corner of my eye there is a spinning dog on his like 10th spin! I finally tell him Lay down already.. so he does, big sigh and a look directed at me like "what?"

Rocky is a circler also! Mia the boston HATES this as she justs wants to get unde the covers and snuggle! Rocky also loves to "bunch" up his pillow and blanket...he can actually take about 3-4 minutes before he is settled for the night!

Apollo is our major circler here. He sleeps on an oversized bean bag chair in our room and he makes so much noise at night. I'll tell him to stop and he'll just look at me, do it one more time, and then lay down. Venus just plops down anywhere she decides she is going to sleep, which is usually right under my side of the bed.
