Why do they eat poop..?

Chloe isn't eating it I don't think, but she is playing with the frozen poop in the yard, and wants to bring it in the house!!!!She's haveing a great time throwing it and chasing it. Silly dog! I can hardly wait for spring. We look at her mouth whenever we let her back in the house.

Yeah thats disgusting, Joey did that a few times when I turned my back he went in the hall...by the time I got to him he was digging in!..(Ewwww nasty!) believe me I gave him water and brushed his teeth!
I asked a vet and he is on science diet both wet and dry, he advised puppy vitamin supliments, its been a few weeks and he has not done it since.
I was thinking maybe he knew mom was going to have to clean that up and he should help!?!:confused:
lets hope that its just part of puppy hood!

Okay, that is really grosse!

My boxer has never tried to eat her own or any other dogs, but when I take her to the farm, where I keep my horse, she always tries to eat the horse poop. All of the dogs at the farm seem to do that. I do discourage it by saying "leave it" when I see her and she usually listens really well, but I don't always ketch her in time and I have never worried much about it.
