I hear ya Sharon! Yesterday, I went upstairs and "fixed" my bed as well as the bed in our guestroom 4 times!!! This, of course, was after I had made my bed in the morning. Every time I hear Carley "bouncing around" upstairs, I know she's gotten to both beds and I go up and re-straighten them. It's not like she's trying to find a comfy place to lay down...she just jumps up, bounces around and runs off! Jeesh!!!

Sometimes I think Muggsy gets irritated when I clean. It is like I am undoing he mess and he feels the need to redo it. He will watch me put all his toys away and then he will go and get them all out again one by one and just drop them all over the floor. He will also see me clean up aroung his food and water bowls and go eat and drop food all over the floor. I am very close to giving up on cleaning. It is like a never ending cycle anyway. And don't get me started on clean clothes......ugh! They are so funny!

I have to admit we actually do not make our beds in the house unless there is something important going on. But Brandy has a habit of knowing when I put clean clothes on the bed. I put them on the bed before I sort and put the clothes away..and well she always comes bouncing in to undo the folded clothes it is a evil never ending cycle that I truly adore!

This thread had me laughing out loud - literally! I would love to see what the OP described. It sounds hilarious!

I actually used to have a cat who knew - where ever he was - that I was changing the sheets or making the bed.

My cat, Sam, seems to have a 6th sense when it comes to fresh sheets. She can be sound asleep (or so I think) in the other end of the house, but if I change the sheets on the bed, she is THERE. She doesn't want to play or attack...she just sits her little hiney right in the middle. I used to try to put her off the bed, but she was like a spring - right back up there as soon as her feet hit the floor. Now, I just throw the sheets over her, and she works her way out to sit on the next layer.

My dogs think my bed is an arena. I actually have a sheet over my bedspread now because oRoxy likes to sleep in my bed all day in the winter and the others like to jump up and play on it, especially after they have just been outside. Everyday when I get home the pillows are thrown on the floor and the sheet is all over the place. Needless to say, I wash my sheets at least once a week.

I think Herkie thinks I make the bed to entertain him! However, my bed making is quite easy since I just use a comforter...I can't stand the top sheet...so you know I go crazy in hotels! Half the time I just give up, and play "Cover the Baby" with him!

TELL me about it!! My kitty refuses to move....so she just gets made up in it and will sleep there for hours....I take Telmar out first in the mornings....and then Sasha....while he waits for me to get back (usually all of 3 min now that it is cold) he tears up the bed...knocks All of the pillows down (there are about 8 including the big decorative ones) goes to the bottom of the bed and 'scoots' the cover down to the mattress off (this includes comforter, blanket, 2 sheets and a mattress pad)......LITTLE STINKER.....and of course i scold him just like a child and he runs upstairs!!
I just shake my head most days and just make it back up!

Me too

My Brandy and my youngest cat both have to get on the bed while I am making it. I cover them both up and then we play "blanket treatment"
That's where I grab at them thru the covers, and they roll on their backs and try to catch my fingers. It is soooo funny!
