Yeah I think its just part of their breed. Duchess pretty much thinks she is a lap dog. If she isnt laying on us totally she ALWAYS has to be touching us. When we are sleeping she has to touch us....if we move a little to get some more room she follows right along. It sure works out great in the winter tho...she's like a little space heater!

Such babies. If Porter could talk he would spend the day yelling "mommy mommy mommy." I have scratches all over the backs of my feet and legs from them riding my heals every morning. Heaven forbid I close the bathroom door all the way in the morning and they can't see me (DH leaves before I get up).

They just need to be close to DH and I just as we need to be close the them. :)

Talk about babies...My Wilma just learned to swim (in our backyard pool). She will only get into the pool with her lifevest on. We call it her "bathing suit". When she gets tired of doggy paddling, she sits on the steps and whines until Mom (me) goes and gets her off the step. She faces me with her front paws on my shoulders and her back legs around my waist. I carry her around the pool. If someone throws her toys around, she expects me to walk her (run her) over to the toy and let her retrieve it. I then carry her either back to the step or she just hangs on till I get tired. When swim time is over...Wilma stands at the edge of the pool and shakes (trembles) until one of us gets her a beach towel and removes her vest and snuggles her till she gets warm. She has done a great job training MOM!
