Diesel Dog

My idea, GF found him. When I switched jobs, It was what I wanted more than anything. Being around my brother's girl, and having to put down my Misha around the same time. I knew I wanted one, but she found him at a baby shower for one of my friends, called me on the way home, picked up Diesel the next day.

Completely Boxer Crazy
I actually live with my BF, his brother and his GF, (4 of us). The other two took a vacation to FL for a while, and came back with a kitten. I was sooooo infuriated because I had been asking forever if we could get a dog, and my BF always said he wasn't ready for any animals. After the kitten, I kept on him and he eventually said yes, we could get one.
I later took a trip to KY to visit a friend, and came back with little baby Champ. I didn't tell BF I was getting him. He totally wasn't expecting it and I think he was mad at me for a while. But who couldn't just fall in love with a little baby boxer? Champ is now his baby boy and needless to say, it's now a crazy house...

It was my idea but, we went together to pick out a pup. Husband kinda liked a different pup but, I over-ruled and we ended up with our "wonderful Yankee"
Now Husband tells Yankee in a "baby" voice. "Yankee, do you know how much Dad loves you and that Dad picked you out and you were Dad's Birthday present!" Such a lie! Husbands Birhtday is in October and we got Yankee in JULY!! I guess Boxers just have that way - Everyone ends up loving them!!!

I convinced my BF to get a dog. We first got a pit/boxer mix from a shelter but unfortunately he was hit by a car. We then decided to go to a breeder and get our little Roxie. He is a great guy and when I suggested a dog he was all for it.

I bought my first house in March, my family always had pets. Usually muts, and/or strays. I always told myself that i wanted a dog when i move out. My girlfriend has a silky terrior and always wanted a big softy dog that she could lay on. My cousin has a boxer that i saw one time, fell in love with and that is what i wanted. I joined boxerworld in march, and through all the pictures and posts decided that a boxer was for me. So i got Ozzie on August 2nd. So i guess it was my idea, but your (boxerworld's members) influence. Thanks! I now have the most loving caring thing i could ever want. And when my girlfriend comes over she has the softest body pillow that loves to lick and snore. :)

This has turned out to be a better thread than I had hoped for. Not only do we get to find out who's idea it was to get our Boxer babies but how circumstances unfolded.
I'm enjoying the reading!

I had Tyson before FH and I were together, I suggested we adopt Chloe and he jumped at the opportunity very quickly, and he loves them almost as much as he loves me ;)

Okay here's my story... I had a fawn boxer growing up named Sam that I just adored. I wanted one after my husband and I married and he surprised me X-Mas of 95 with Bubba. He was the best but went to the bridge in 06/03. We went 9 months without a dog and my husband really didn't want another dog. I knew it was time and so with friends we went to look at puppies not intending to buy one(ha ha) and we ended up with Bugzy. Our friends bought the sister too. My husband pretends he thinks he's a pain in the a@@ but I catch him all the time talking sweet to him and referring to himself as daddy. He just doesn't see him like I do.

It was always my idea. My BF is a highway patrol officer and won't have kids due to the nature of his job. (fine by me) I suggested a puppy. He wanted to just look. Well, you can't take me to just look. I always liked boxers because my mother had one but was forced to give him up for adoption when he dislocated her shoulder. My twin sister also has a two year old female.
I fell for a female but by the time we left until when my pouting and his guilt got the best of him, (which was about an hour) he went back and she was gone already. So, he chose the next prettiest and friendliest which is my baby boy.
My BF brought him to surprise me at work. I wanted to cry but the puppy was scared enough. Good way to break him in on car rides though. Now, he has taken my spot next to my BF in bed and I'm on the other side. They even share icecream together.

I grew up without dogs eventhough I was in love with them. As soon as I moved out I got my first dog: g s-h pointer. A while later I got Hagrid. Let me just say that my parents are not dog people. I still live in the same town as they do and the dogs come visit. My mom has become a boxer lover and she tells everyone how great they are. My dad has yet to have his heart captured by them, but he's a grump anyway. haha. My sister insists on getting a boxer if she ever gets a dog, because she has children. I'm glad that I chose the perfect breed. The pointer had to be put down a year ago, so now I have 2 boxer babies.
