She was part of "the package"!

When my DH first proposed, he was "warned" that the mutt was part of the package - wife and dog together or no go!!! Good thing he is a brave man - he dove in head first and now cannot get enough of "his" baby-girl, Isis!

It was my idea. I love dogs, and I'm so glad that my DH let me have one.

It was me. My kids and I nagged my husband for about 2 years. I caught him at a weak moment...he didn't say no. Never said yes, but didn't say no. I had a deposit on Roxy within 3 days. He wasn't trilled. Only 2 months later and he is a complete pushover with her and all boxers. He said on Monday "I am so happy *we* got her". Ha ha. He will even slow down to point out other dogs, to compare to "his" perfect girl!!

I got the first one as a rescue, from my brother. The second one "fell" into my lap as another rescue when I needed a friend the most. After that it's always been me who chose the dog and got them. He knows nothing about breeding or what to look for in a dog, let alone BYB. He's had all his dogs over the years from BYB and I'm a lot more picky than he is.

Now that we're apart, it made the whole who gets the dog thing REALLY easy. They are mine- ALL MINE and now he wishes he had one.

The kids wanted a dog. DH was willing as long as it wasn't a yep yep dog. He didn't really want a dog. I grew up on a farm so the more the better as far as I am concerned. We started looking for a good family dog that looked like a guy's dog. We got Jenna 2 years ago the day after Christmas.

DH's friend's brother also had a boxer but couldn't keep it. So Cooper came to live with us. DH friend made that happen as he loves Jenna and was sure that his brothers dog would be happy if he lived with Jenna. They look like a matching set. DH's friend as since got a boxer of his own.

Getting Samson was my idea. I spent a lot of time researching and contacting breeders. We had him picked out before we had even closed on our house!

When we added our second dog, Hannah, it was also my idea. My husband at first said absolutely not. After some talking, he finally agreed if I thought we could afford her. I was at the shelter the next day.

it was dh's idea - when we brought the house, had the wedding he wanted a boxer - he has always had a boxer growing up - i had dogs too but really didn't want one - how things change. - condition of getting brandy was hubby had to feed her, pick up the poo, she could sleep in the laundry wasn't allowed on the furniture let alone the bed, she was his dog. we brought her home and she was mine had to sleep lying on mummy or the lounge beside mummy, slept in the bed with me without daddy knowing till the morning - never slept in the laundry, i cried when i had to leave her for a holiday and when she went in to be de-sexed and it was defiantely my idea to get Tigger and he is defiantely a mummy's boy - brandy as she got older is a daddy's girl except when its time to sleep then it's i want mummy.

and now i will never not own a boxer - it just amazes me how they can turn a non animal lover into mush and a fulltime boxer stalker

It was my Boyfriend's constant nagging that made me give in. We had dogsat my Brothers Bull Mastiff and he took him for walks, bathed him and feed him just to show me he that I wouldn't need to do anything if we got our own dog. Well he did that for about 2 weeks when we got Sasha and now I do it all (no compaints from me thou ). We decided on a Boxer because DB had them in Poland when he was growing up and had to leave his behind with family when he came to Australia.

My partner and i both loved Boxers although neither of us had ever owned one before. At the time we were living in a 2 bedroom unit - very unsuitable for any breed of dog. So i found us a house with a huge backyard and started hunting for a great breeder. Finally Demi and Rory were flown to us and we have been a happy family since - and i wouldn't give them up for the world, Best decision EVER!!
