It was mine but my husband picked out Koa, I was looking at the fawn males but he fell in love with Koa. Once I picked him up & he snuggled in my neck that was all she wrote!

Brutus was DH's idea. As soon as we bought a house, he wanted a boxer. I was TOTALLY a cat person and said the entire time that this would be DH's dog to take care of. However, DH had to go work in Germany for the first six weeks after Brutus was born. I was the one visiting the breeder's house to check on the puppies and getting all that bonding time with him. So...Brutus ended up being my baby instead of DH's. To make up for it, I got Trinity for DH for his next birthday. She's mostly a momma's girl too, but I just don't tell DH about it.

My dh planted the seed. He kept saying he wanted a dog - I didn't. We travel to my dad's house all the time and I wasn't sure how it would work. And - we're gone for 9 hours a day. Anyway - he and our 5 year old kept talking about how they wanted a dog. We were offered a boxer puppy by someone that had to move and get rid of his dog. We unfortunatley waited too long to decide - so that started the search.... And it was MY search!! Now - he's MY baby!!!

LOL...this is a good one. DH told me when we met that he did not do pets, now we have our little zoo. 3 of our 4 boys including Bently I brought home. Moose was his idea and is his boy, but he loves all the boys and they love their daddy.

my DH isn't the biggest animal lover..

go figure, he married me!! heehee. It was my idea. When we were living in an apartment we had walked by the pet shop (I would have NEVER gotten any animal from a pet shop). We walked in to grab some toys for our resident feline. We passed by a cage with a baby Boxer and I stopped dead in my tracks..I felt so bad for the poor boy. I wanted to take him home but I knew tht it wasn't a good idea for several reasons. Firstly, I didn't want to help the puppy mills by bringing that sad soul home..but we also lived on the 3rd floor and we both worked full time, it wasn't a good time to get a pup..of any breed,

A few mths later we bought our home (in october) and by the week of Thanksgiving, I had Blizzy! I wanted 2 but i knew our house was too small for 2 boxers and 2 adults and my then 5 yr old. We moved to our present home and a while ago I knew my girl was getting on in years and I wanted another boxer. I wanted to have a "new" one before my girl left us. My hubby was hemming and hawing about having 2. Well, we lost our Blizzy on 12.26 and our new baby is due to be home in late March.

The cat was his idea, but taking both of the 2 left was my idea..lol.

Totally my husband's idea. I've always had dogs and cats growing up but he never had a pet. He did all the research. I don't even think I had seen a boxer before we went to look at Bubby's litter. We were building a house and living with my parents so we had to ask permission for the puppy. We were lucky to take Bubby with us when we moved out my father loved that dog sooo much. 13 years later and we have our 3rd boxer.

Well I don't live with my girlfriend but she really wanted a dog and can't have one at her apartment. I also was ready for another so I told her I was going to start looking and she suggested a boxer. Bringing a dog in was my idea, but bringing a boxer in was hers.

DH grew up on a farm, so he has always been a dog lover. Getting boxers, however was my idea. Just after we were married, we saw a boxer puppy in the paper in Calgary while we were staying at his aunt's home for thanksgiving. I wanted to go and see her, but he said we could go look, but we aren't coming home with a dog. His brother just laughed saying nobody in the family has ever gone to look at a dog and come home empty handed. DH reply was "Well, you're going to see it today". Needless to say, the joke was on him because Brittney was with us for eleven wonderful years, and made a total BOXER NUT out of DH. It took a lot of convincing to get him to agree to getting Hemi the BT. He loves Hemi too, but Boxers are certainly his favorite by far. They just have that effect on people.

Payton was my idea all the way- once I knew I wanted a boxer- I was the one doing all the footwork-
Now DH is talking about getting another one for Pay to play with.
