I buy my food online through petfooddirect.com. They haven't failed me yet. I will agree that the shipping charges are a little steep, a typical order for me has $8.49 added for shipping a 15 lb. bag of Solid Gold. BUT, what really helps are the discount codes that are available. I use flamingoworld.com, which is an online coupon tracker website, to find discount codes. If you go there and click on "pet supplies", and then scroll down to petfooddirect.com, you'll see the current offers. (I just checked and they have a 20% and a 25% off code listed.) When I use a 25% off code, it knocks $5 off my total. Coupled with the fact that they don't charge sales tax, it pretty much cancels the shipping charges. The closest place for me to buy Solid Gold food is a 45 minute drive away . (I see you live in Chicago, I live in Freeport and have to drive to Rockford to buy that brand.) Most of my friends can't believe that I buy dog food online, but hey, it works for me!
