I love how their feet smell like fritos...right after I use the doggy wipes...and after he eats peanut butter then kisses me! I agree it is very comforting

Me too ! I am always kissing Oski on his cheek as that's where his smell is most concentrated. Its not a doggy smell...though my hubby begs to differ. It is of a musky smell... I do this to all the boxers I know and each has an individual smell...again..hubby does not agree.....

I find the smell rather comforting. It sort of invoke this sense of contentment, to be so close to someone you love.

Well it's nice to know I am not insane. My sister and I used to seperate people into two groups, Boxer People and Non-Boxer People. When the "Boxer People" would greet our dog, they would give a hug and a sniff, breathing in Boxer. "Non-Boxer" people would pet him or stand back and say "nice dog". It's one of those things that fall under the "If you don't know, I can't explain" category.

I love the boxer smell. I have had other dogs in the past and was ok with their smells but you can give me a boxer any day to smell. I love to smooch my face into their fur and smell their scent...it is good therapy for me and some how always seems to relax me.

So glad it's not just me

I was just sitting here thinking this yesterday that I just love our boys musty dog smell. I was thinking gosh am I crazy but I am sooo glad to hear that I am not the only one. And as soon as I read about the frito feet I grabbed both my boys feet and took a whif. Yep, fritos. Our comforter smells like musty boxer dog and I just hate washing it because it takes away my boys scent. I feel much less crazy now. Thanks for this post JennieWI!

it's so funy how boxer owners are so alike! I also love the smell of my Bail - but I also love the smell of wet dog...(MY wet dog though)

I don't much care for the frito feet though...but I laugh because I thought my Bail was the only one who had that...guess not!!

and p.s. there are ALOT of puppies named Bailey out there, huh? Popular name - I guess great minds think alike

Guilty - I also think the pups smell good, Dori-toes and all.

Although I do not like it when I get in my car and I can smell how doggie it is, or when my bedding and furniture start to get ripe. Of course, now I have kicked the puppies out of my bed, so hopefully I'll be washing sheets less often now! :p
