I've got to agree there--the warm doggy smell of my two IS so comforting. When we just got Zak, he smelled something awful, of the city pound where they were holding him. But now he smells like Cinda, although I've got to say her warm tummy smell is the nicest one to me. She herself is the comforting one, not Zak yet. I will miss my little lady when her time is up, she is such a friend.

I can hardly believe my eyes. I thought I was the only person who loves the smell of a boxer. I have never felt this way about other breeds but since Rocky came into my life I just love the way he smells. It isn't a "doggy" smell. It is almost like a cinnamon spice type scent. I always ask him what kind of aftershave he wears!!

There is nothing better for me than snuzzling my nose im-between Roxys eyes and just getting a good wiff and kiss !!!!

How funny Laurie! I do the same exact thing. I love it that Oskar looks at me too cross-eyed!
My boys smell wonderful! I wash Oskar's bedding twice a week and he picks up the detergent scent! AHH, Gain clean!! They both smell freah. It's great!

I do love how Killian smells normally, just not when he has been playing in the creek and smells like a big soggy fish! And the feet really DO smell like fritos! I read that post so I had to check for myself, my hubby thought I was smoking something when I did it, but I made him smell so he wouldn't think I was nuts, and he agrees!! Frito feet!!

I have realized for some time that I like the smell of dog. Not the wet, dirty, rolled in something smell, but their natural musky doggy scent. I have always been this way since I was a child and it doesn't pertain only to my own dog, either. I even like it when I get in my truck and can still smell Gunther's scent from when he was riding with me previously. Does anyone else out there like to inhale boxer?

Yes, and my wife makes fun of me about it constantly. I LOVE their smell..and its comforting to smell it when they aren't around.

HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!! And yes I admit I am one of you also, I love my pups smell, his frito feet and even his breath (still sweet after 1 year!) There must be a name for this condition!

This is so funny! My husband and I always talk about the way Roxy and Grady smell. We love it. I would never tell that to a non-boxer owner though, they would think I am crazy. It is just a comforting smell. While Roxy and Grady don't smell the exact same it is a lot alike. Once we went on a trip with my sister and BIL and our best friends and I took a warm fuzzy blanket from our bed with us. When we got to our cabin I curled up in my blanket and it smelled like Roxy. I was all over it. Anyone else would think I was weird but they know how I am about my "kids". My mom said they smell like a deer, I call it "eau de Roxy" like a perfume. Weird right?
