My Sasha wakes up with a lot of 'cold' in her eyes. (I could be saying it wrong but its a white mucus like a human would get in the morning)
After cleaning her eyes she usually is good for the rest of the day.
What is this? I was concerned it could be allergies

Thanks for the help

It might be alergy related but I wouldn't be concerned, if she isn't scratching and it only shows up in the morning. White or clear discharge isn't normally something to worry about. If it becomes green or yellow that would be sign of an infection and I would see a vet.

Gus had a tremendous amount of this as a puppy and I even asked the vet about it. But it was nothing unusual and eventually as he has matured has drastically reduced in amount. In fact now that I think about it, I can't remember the last time he woke up with a large ball of dried mucous in the corner of his eye.

Deja had this too as a younger puppy. She doesn't get it as often these days. When she does, the amount is minute. I agree with the posts above, as long as it doesn't change color, or bothers her (she will try to scratch her eyes, or rub them on things) it is normal.
