Good News for this guy!! A Multi-State Boxer Rescue orginazation was contacted about this dog, but unfortunately they were full. Another reason to please --RESCUE!
This Boxers time became very short when the Hutchinson Humane Society took in 17 dogs in one day, and this Boxer had already been there a month. This humane society still uses the gas chamber, to put down dogs and cats.
Fortunately!!! the Boxer Bunch of Hutchinson got together with phone calls and emails and a member of the Boxer Bunch has adopted him, just today.
My husband and I got him out of the pound and took him in and got him neutered and his shots, and also anti-biotics for his double ear-infection.
It turns out that he may not be totally deaf, he responds to high pitched sounds and once his ear infection clears up, he may be able to hear something. He is a sweet wonderful white male boy that has the softest coat that I think I have ever felt. His brown eyes just make you want to melt.
He was taken to his new adoptive home this afternoon and it looks like it will go well. This wonderful family already has a white totally deaf male Boxer and they also have a mix breed female dog. The dogs were all introduced on neutral territory and then all taken together into the house and it looks good so far. I left with all the dogs laying together in a pile. THANKYOU Misty & Jamie for taking in another special needs Boxer!!! The world needs people like you guys!
