White boxers!!!!

just wondering who else here owns a white boxer? on the 26th i will be going to pick up a 9 week old white boxer female. though mabye i could start a thread on white boxers. and ask a few questions. i hope this hasn't been done 1000 times.

1. why did you get a white boxer?
2. do people try to tell you there isn't such a thing as white boxers?
3. do people say they must be a mix breed?
4. will you get another boxer?
5. if yes to 4 will it be a white boxer?
6. is your white boxer a boy or girl?
7. how old is your white boxer?
8. are they all white or do they have a spot?
9. any health problems?

1.) Because when I was younger friends had one and I thought he was just the coolest thing in the world.

2.) No, not really, they just tell me that they've never heard of white ones.

3.) They think mine is a pit bull alot of times.

4.) I already have 2....so that is enough for now. :o)

5.) If I was to get another I am sure it would be white.

6.) My baby is a girl.

7.) She is 1.5 years old.

8.) She is white with spots on her skin. We call them freckles.

9.) No, no health problems and I'm praying that there never will be.

My baby is precious to me. You've just got to be careful in the sun because they can burn easily. Lexus LOVES to run thru the mud all the time. My reverse brindle hates it. So the plus is I can see all the muddy spots on her before I let her into the house so that I can clean it up before it shows up on my furniture. LOL
If this is your first boxer you are in for the entertainment of your life.

Hi There!

I have a white boxer, you can see his picture in my gallery. He's a pup of my brindle boxer, Sadie. He's taller and bigger and smarter than she is, and she's pretty damn smart. I don't know how he does the things he does, I call him my "super white ninja" LOL

1. why did you get a white boxer?
Because I knew he was special the moment I laid eyes on him. He had white sister too, all white, but she passed away because of a poor tail docking.

2. do people try to tell you there isn't such a thing as white boxers?
I've heard rumors, but he's as healthy as a horse. He's a clutz though.

3. do people say they must be a mix breed?
No, everyone who knows, knows hes a boxer. When he's at Petsmart, he's a star. Everyone wants to be around him.

4. will you get another boxer?
LOL Not at the moment, I have 3 - one in each flavor and I love them all!

5. if yes to 4 will it be a white boxer?

6. is your white boxer a boy or girl?
Boy.

7. how old is your white boxer?
A year and a half.

8. are they all white or do they have a spot?
He's got a patch on the eye, and a round patch on his side.

9. any health problems?
NONE. He's a horse!!!

White boxers are just as special as any other boxer!! They're great dogs.

My white princess

We got a white one because she happened to be the only one not sold out of the litter from our now breeder ( lucky us!!!!! )
Um, really we hear alot, Oh.......I didnt know there was such a thing!
Nothing about being a mixed breed.
We have two Boxers now, and we are expecting our little boy this summer, of course another boxer!!!
I would definetly get a white one, weve' had one of each, our brindle boy passed away a little over a year ago. We really have no preference to color, we just really would like a little boy.
Our white one is Roxie, female
Roxie is 12 1/2
she is all white with little tiny black freckles we call em, all over her!!!!
We are so blessed, she has had nothing in all her years, helathy as a horse. And, even though shes gettin older, she still plays and runs around, full of spunk.
She is our angel baby, we love them all the same

1. Because I've always loved Boxers, and Sirus was just perfect for me!

2. Yup! Granted it was only once...but it did happen.

3. I've had a couple of people ask me what he was mixed with...because of question #2.

4. Yeah, one day I plan on getting Sirus a little brother.

5. I don't discriminate when it comes to Boxers.

6. Boy.

7. Turned 2 in January.

8. He's got a fawn patch over his right eye, and has lots of freckled spots all over his body.

9. Slight allergies. Nothing too bad though.

Okay, I don't have a white boxer now, but my father has one (and I grew up loving him). So I guess I'll answer the questions anyway


1. My father was in an auto accident, and the owner of the body shop that fixed his truck has a white boxer. As soon as daddy sat down, Jake (the boxer) jumed up in his lap. So, daddy fell in love. And, it just so happened that Jake had been studded (yeah, I know, our pup came from a BYB, but we didn't know any better then) and the litter was 8 weeks old and all of them were white. So, daddy picked the one that looked the most like Jake, and that's how we got Harley.

2. I've never heard that. I've been told that they are "Rare" and therefore more expensive, but I always correct people who say that. (My own daddy fell for that one)

4. I actually already have! I couldn't stand living without a boxer in the house!

5. My boxer is a brindle, but only because I love the way they look. I like the white ones too, but I have always wanted a brindle. And, considering that my Father has a white boxer and my brother has a fawn, it just made sense for me to get the brindle.

6. Harley is a boy.

7. 4 years (I think)

8. He has a brown spot on top of his head. (I have a picture of him that I'll load in my gallery).

9. a few. He had a heart murmur (spelling?) when he was a pup, but he grew out of it. And he's already had two knee replacement surgeries. But I don't beleive that has anything to do with his color. I give the fact that he came from a BYB credit for his health issues.

So True! When Harley was a pup, we didn't realize he would burn. I'll never forget the day we let him out to play, and he fell asleep belly up in the sun. His little underside was red for days, and there's nothing more pittiful than the cries of a burnt pup!

1) We got our baby from boxer rescue so didn't really get a choice (although BF asked for a white one if poss as he had white boxers before and has a bit of a soft spot for them)
2) The normal question I get asked is " Is he albino, then?"...grrrr...drives me NUTS!
3) I've never had that...yet!
4) If I had the space and the money...YES! (would have hundreds if I could!)
5) Any colour would be ok with me. I love them all.

7)He'll be 3 in June
8) As you can see he has a brindle patch and lots of freckles!
9)He has developed an allergy...we think food related.

I have two white boxers.

1. why did you get a white boxer? I didnt pick out Zeus. He needed a home and my dh knew I grew up w/boxers and wanted to get one once we settled down in a house. My husband found out about Zeus thur a friend of his. He saw Zeus and fell in love and brought him home to me. We got Zeus when he was almost 3 yrs old. He is now 5 and has been a wonderful member of our family.
I picked out Isis. I wanted to get Zeus a buddy but I was looking for a flashy brindle. I started looking for breeders near us to talk too. I found a great breeder that lived in the same state as us but she didnt have the flashy brindle that I was looking for. She only had one female puppy left and it was a 8 wk old white female w/a small black patch over her left eye. I told her that I would come up and look at her. When I saw Isis she ran right up to me and I feel in love w/her and took her home that day.

2. do people try to tell you there isn't such a thing as white boxers? Some people have told me that there is no such thing. I just smile and correct them and go on about my day.

3. do people say they must be a mix breed? I do get asked alot if they are pit bulls or if my male boxer is mixed w/a bull mastisff because he is tall.

4. will you get another boxer? Oh yes, I will always have a boxer in my family. I am trying to convince my dh and two kids that we need to get a third.

5. if yes to 4 will it be a white boxer? I would love to have another white boxer but my dh wants to get a brindle boxer one day.

7. how old is your white boxer? Zeus is five and Isis is 8 months.

8. are they all white or do they have a spot? All white boxers have spots under their coats on their skin. Zeus has some black fur spots on the end of his ears. Isis has a black spot on her left eye that has some fawn coloring on the outside of it and a small fawn patch on her neck. They both have tons of skin spots on their sides and bellies.

9. any health problems? Nothing major w/Isis so far. She did have ring worms when she was 10 wks old. She was treated w/a dewormer and hasn't had any since. Zeus has had some physical problems in the past before we got him. I know he was abused and kept outside for awhile. He also got loose from his previous family and got caught in a barb-wired fence. He cut up his back left leg. A neighbor found him and took him to get fixed up and then the neighbor tryed to find his owners but couldn't find them. So they took him to the SPCA and his orginal owners found him and took him back. Then they couldnt keep him and thats how we got him. He has also had two injuries to his left eye. I am not sure about the first injury because that happend before us. His second injury our female boxer scratched him in his eye and caused an usclear in his eye. He was treated for that and it cleared up and healed. Other than that they are both healthy and normal.

1. Crash was the only one left. We originally wanted a brindle but fell in love with him.

2. We haven't been told that there is no such thing as a white boxer. Most people are surprised to see one.

8. He has a brindle spot on each ear and freckles all over his body.

9. So far he has not had any problems related to his color. We battled giardia for a bit but any dog (or person) could get it.
