LOL, I can just imagine how much fun they had. When lacie goes to see my dad, she loves to pick up road apples and bark at the horses. I cant imagine, how sore you were! I bet all 3 of yuo shared a long hot bath together. LOL

First of all congratulations. I think it is great that there are people like you willing to care for white boxers. I just spoke to a man today that was completely against them. I personally like them and am trying to find out more about them. I have two brindle boxers. One is 8 and the other is 1 they are great dogs, unfortunately the puppy has a terminal kidney disorder. We are planning to get another boxer. My parents and I are looking into the white boxers. We are interested in the types of illnesses that they may be prone to, etc. I have tried to research white boxers, but the articles are very controversial. One article says that they are very sick dogs, while another one says that some may be sick and others may not. I have no intentions of breeding nor do I want to have a show dog. We just want a friend for my other boxer, since he is going to be losing his best friend. My mom loves white and brindle boxers. I was curious to know if you have any tips for me. What should I look for, who should I buy them from? Are there any distinct qualities that I should avoid? I am really fearsome of buying another boxer. I bought my puppy from a reputable dealer and we are really suffering with her. Therefore, I am trying to see what else I should do to try to ensure that I get a boxer that is healthy. Be it white or brindle (preferably a white male.)

I love my girls. They are very healthy, and full of energy. They have become a large part of our family. Greatfully my girls are in good health. But there are several conditions to watch for. I believe annual check ups are a must. I lost my other boxer to a drunk driver so I'm a little over protective. Whites use to be put down at birth. They are larger, some times deaf or blind. One of mine is deaf, and she is just fine. She learns hand comands just as other dogs learn voice. This has been one of the most rewarding gifts I have ever recieved. We also have a yellow lab, she is 14 and in great health still. But some day when she is not with us anymore, I intend to get another boxer, one we can have a litter with. But just one to have the joy of having littles around. Most people dont charge the full amount for whites, but it is my understanding, a few whites have been registered. I recommend white boxers but I recommend any boxer, THEY ARE THE BEST!

It is so nice of you to adopt the two girls and keep them together, you are a wonderful person. I lost one of my dogs, I had Romeo and Juliette at the time to a woman who was speeding and hit my Romeo. The two dogs were never apart for more then a few minutes. When we lost our baby Romeo, only two years old I didn't know what to do with myself. I felt like a part of me was gone. He was my firt boxer. When my boyfriend moved in wiht me so did Romeo, we fell in love. Well, when we lost Romeo Juliette was so sad. All she would do was cry, not eat and just lay on their bed with his toys and cry. Besides being heartbroken from losing Romeo, we were even sadder because you could see the pain in Julliettes eyes. Our vet advised us to get another dog because she was suffering severe seperation anxiety. We got Brutus only a few days later. We were very hesitant but now it was the best thing we could have done. He will never replace Romeo but he has made us smile again and Julliette has a best friend again. It is amazing how much love these dogs bring to your lives. Romeo will never ever be forgotten, I think about him every day of my life. But Brutus and Julliette brighten up each day which makes it a little easier. Good luck with your girls.

In know what it feels like to lose your best friend. My one year old boxer LUCY-LOU was killed by a drunk driver on Oct.1st I will never for get her. I use to wake up at night and I swear I could feel her on my bed. My daughter and I where there when it happened. I will never forget the sound! I was able to grab ny daughter who was screaming MY DOG, LUCY as loud as she could. That day brings tears to my eyes when ever I think about it. Thank God we DID NOT see it! Unfortunatley my mother did. When you loose a member of your family there is a grieving process. I didn't think I would ever get another dog again. But time heels all wounds. And we now have our girls! They are the best. They will never replace LouLou, but they have their own spot in our family now. My daughter went to were LouLou was buried, and asked her if it was ok if we adopted another boxer.LUCY answered us by bring the girls into our lives.

white boxer

One of my boxers is white , he is smaller than his brother, and as others have said be carefill in the sun. We also have the problem with the cold (he hates snow). He is not deaf. He is a lot smarter, agile and determined than his brindle brother and also has no fear. You will enjoy them.

no advice, just support

My girlfriend and I are the proud new owners of **two** white Boxer pups (dob 1/3/01). We just couldn't resist when we went to pick up Petey and heard the Rollo was also available (his buyer backed out - his loss and our gain!). I am new to the world of Boxers, but not new to dogs in general. I love dogs and these two whites are our pride and joy this morning.

Regarding heredity and breed issues, I see nothing wrong w/ white Boxers. As long as they are healthy, what's the problem? Obviously, if the whites tend to carry deafness and blindness heredity then breeders should not perpetuate that, however, for the sake of a family pet these two are going to be fantastic.

My hat is off to you for taking the pair! Given the opportunity I have to believe that I would have made the same choice.
