White Boxers- What is the strangest type of dog people thought you have ?

When I'm out walking Vanilla Bean, I will most pften have people ask me if he is a Bit-Bull or Pit-Bull X.

But I think the strangest comment I heard was someone who said" Look, a bulldog - dalmation cross".:confused:

Has anyone ever seen a bulldog-dalmation x ?

So, I'm just wondering, what are some other strange breeds people have thought your boxer was ?

No strange combinations here, but they have called Samson a bull dog. Jackson, our lab/boxer mix gets called a pit bull. I think people are not familiar with this breed of dog. Around here, at least, I do not see many boxers. I traveled close to 200 miles, on two different occasions, to get Samson, then Delilah later. So, it could be unfamiliarity. In this area most people seem to have hunting-type dogs. The closest boxer that I know of, and I don't see him outside in his yard often, is 35 miles away.

I get the, is that a dalmatian? a lot because of Ozzy's black spots but mostly I get, hey look theres a white boxer!!!

Since Xenolith and Nissy aren't around much anymore, I'll answer on their behalf. They were walking a very young Kira at the park and an elderly gentleman asked Josh if Kira was a SCHNAUZER.
Kira is a beautiful white girl, the whitest white that I have ever seen - she has no skin pigmentation showing through and no color at all, but she is all boxer. The original story is somewhere on the forums under Xenolith's username.

I get all kinds of reactions to Susie. Mostly people think she's a Pitt or a Bulldog. Some have asked if she's a miniature dalmation. Mostly people say: "what kind of dog is that?" When I answer, a white boxer, they inevitably say "Oh! An Albino!"

Of course, I have to set the record straight and let them know there is no such thing as an albino boxer, she's just white.

People frequently think cash is a pitbull, bulldog, or even Rottie. Just uneducated I guess.

I was at the vet's office today with my two for check-ups. On the way in a lady was coming out with a cute little schnauzer. She took one look at Blake, my white snuggle boy, and just about fainted. She was horrified, and ran off to the back of the building. I'm guessing she was thinking pit bull all the way.

Well, the first time we went to the doggie park I overheard a few people saying Maddie was an english bulldog. Then I have the famous "what is she, a dalmation mix?" Just because my girl has some spots (I call them beauty marks ) does not mean she is a dalmation/mix:mad: I also get the "oh, look at that pitt bull."

My favorite has to be when they ask "what kinda dog is she?" when I reply a BOXER they always say "I never knew boxers were white" then they proceed to tell me that she IS an albino:rolleyes:

when the girls were babies all the time i heard... oh what pretty st. bernards?????? umm okay..but their tail fell off and their hair isn't growing
