White Boxer and Sunscreen

I just recently adopted a 7 month old white boxer male. I have heard that during the day when he is outside playing I should apply sunscreen to his face and body. Does anyone have experience with this or have any advice. I realize that I need to use sunscreen that does not smell so they dont want to lick it off. How about putting it on his fur. I just dont know. He is complety white with a black nose. I want to protect him from the sun. He has plenty of shade from the sun but I want to further protect him. Any advice would be appreciated.

You may also want to look into using a t- shirt instead of or with sun srceen. I got Chopper a 6X kids shirt that say tonka tough on it. It fits great and she don't mined wearing it. Good luck.
