Whining?

Oh yes. Oscar is a big time whiner. Sometimes he'll just walk around the house and whine. Most of the time it's pretty cute but it can get on your nerves.
He even makes a whiney type noise when he yawns.

Ages ago, Cinda began whining early in the morning to come into our bed for an hour or two until we got up. She sleeps on her own bed in the lounge and the connecting door is firmly shut, more to keep out great purring cat than heavy dog. After giving into her for some time, her noise started to grate and she was waking us up too early, so I would firmly tell her to get back on her bed and lay down. I had to repeat this so often until she twigged that getting into our bed was by invitation only not by whingeing. No problem now on that subject, but I've noticed that since our Stella died earlier this year, Cinda will wander around the house whining, looking for her playmate. That tears me up. As yet we've not been able to find a suitable friend for her but are still hopeful. That sort of whining gets my attention right away and she gets lots of loves.
