Charlie whines sometimes too. He usually whines if I've been home studying for a while, and he feels like he's not getting enough attention. (Not that I ever give my boy attention..poor thing is attentioned starved ...not really) It made me a little worried the first time he did this b/c he'd never done it before, but not I just tell him to go get me a toy, or to be quiet. :)

I thought I had the only whiny boxer!!! Diesel whines over everything! We call him our "Big Crybaby". I think we've enabled this whining because we try to figure out what' s wrong with him. I think he's just rotten!! He's almost 5 months old and is a big dog, but acts like a little baby. When my husband and I take him to my parents, they think it 's the funniest thing ever to see this big dog whine like a baby and then come lay in my lap...I'm only 115 lbs so he, of course, takes up my entire lap and then some!! :)

I too thought that I was the only one with such a big whiner, WOW, it's nice to know that other boxers are whiners too. Jade can drive me crazy with her whining, she'll just sit infront of me out of the blue and start. Trying to get rid of the whining has got to be the most challenging thing to do. I try to ignore her but it can get really hard when she starts doing it louder and louder, now I just pet her and she stops or I start a conversation (one sided of course) with her asking her if her life is really that bad that she has to whine and then she just looks at me like I'm crazy. Boxers have got to me the most spoiled dogs around but they deserve every ounce of it. I wouldn't trade my whiney Jade for nothing.

Frankie will only sit and whine when he wants on the bed. He sets at the foot of the bed, and whines until we invite him up. For some reason, he wont get up there unless invited....lol Crazy dog.

Asia is a pretty big whiner, herself! She whines when someone she loves leaves the house and she isn't in her cage ... or is entering the house (if she can see them walking up the sidewalk from the window and they are taking too long). She mainly whines when she has a toy out of reach (usually under the computer desk to get mommy's attention when she is busy doing schoolwork), and when she wants to go somewhere and we are taking too long ... she is impatient, i hate to admit it, but i think she got that from her mommy

I had started the bell training when I first got Sophie last December. Jasmine had picked up on the bells pretty quick and she was 8 mths old. When I taught her to let me know she needed to go out I would tap her nails on the door's glass insert (that way she wouldn't scratch at it). She had gotten very good at continuosly hitting the bells to go out just to putz around or if she needed water. I have no fence so everyone goes out on leashes. When I figured out what she was doing I started making her wait. That is when the whining started! So if I ignore her bell ringing she will sit at the door whining...for a few minutes then just lays down.

About a year ago I lost my beloved cocker spaniel Daphanie. She always slept in the bed. After her passing I started to let Jasmine sleep in the bed. That was until she decided to chew the plug off the TV - while it was still plugged into the wall. After that event she was bannished back to the bathroom. About 3 or 4 mths later she wasn't feeling very well and I let her sleep in the bed for a couple nights. The next time I went to put her in the bathroom at bed time she WHINED BIG TIME!!! She wasn't going to quit until I let her sleep in the bed. Needless to say she is permantly in the bed.

Sometimes when I am preparing food she will whine, but it sounds more like she is grunting.

My Sophie is the real big whiner. Whenever a toy goes under the sofa. I keep threatening to cut the legs off the sofa.

Mattie is a whiner too !!

Mattie just recently started this whining thing too.. she will be a year old dec. 1st !!! But she will whine when we are in the car on the way to the park... everytime we go. I tell her "tell them mattie" and she just whines and whines. Granted, the park is ACROSS THE STREET. I drive her over because all her toys for the park are in my car... spoiled rotten. Anyways, mattie also whines when I come home, when she wants to go out, basically when she is not getting her way. She is too funny !

Super Boo

Completely Boxer Crazy
Boo is a HUGE whiner (we say it's because she's a girl  ) She whines whenever the stars aren't in alignment--which means ALWAYS. But of course, instead of ignoring it, we all scramble to make her happy. Usually that means playing with her (wait, didn't we buy her a puppy for this??) Actually, even Skye-our boy, can't keep her happy for long. The only time she's perfectly happy is after a LONG walk and big meal and she's sleeping;)

Cheetah just started the whining at 12 months...and its non stop...especially when she's bored and wants to go for a walk, puppy daycare or play ball. There are only so many hours in a day! She will be getting a baby brother boxer in two weeks and we thought this might keep her busy and ax the whining..but after reading the replys to this thread..sounds like we'll have two whiners instead of one. (but also two wonderful, loving buddies)

Would you like some cheeeese with that whine??

Bownser is his name-whining is his game :) If he wants to play and you won't take his tire, he whines. If I ask him if he's hungry,he whines-often accompanied by a omg how painful high pitched bark-followed by-you guessed it, more whining. Let's go outside-whines all the way to the door. He has it down to a fine art :)

Cissy, on the other hand usually only whines when her ball gets stuck under the recliner and she can't reach it. Her little whine sounds like someone is torturing her  Then we get this crazy chewbaca lecture from her and Dozer has to chime in with a woo-woo or two.

Our babies are so funny :)
