Our boxer whined for 5 years when she was bored. Two years ago we got a chihuahua and they love to play, she doesn't whine anymore. So I suggest another playmate.

Jack is a whiner too - he's just a couple weeks older then your pup, so maybe its a baby thing....?

Just love him, though!!

Funny I should see this thread today.

Basil was whining this morning at 445 AM - UGH, are you kidding? well i still live with my parents, and my dad gets up to get ready for work around then. so, I figured she heard him and wanted to go play. I told her NO and to go back to bed. she kept whining until i turned on my light and gave her my "do what i say right now voice" and got her back on the bed. she laid there beside me, and STILL whined. - about ten minutes later she jumped off the bed, and i heard this noise, i thought she was getting into something - by this time i have been up for half an hour. im furious... well, she peed on the floor, and was looking at me like, "mom, im sorry, but i told you i had to go!" I felt SOOOOO bad, she hasnt had an accident for like 3 months.

Basil also "talks" its not quite a whine when it is time to go home from work. i take her with me, and she knows when it is getting close to time to leave. she talks to me and nips at my pants telling me time to go to the car!

I would love to get him a playmate (besides the cat) but I think I will wait until he is around a year old. I think it would be awesome to have 2 boxers :)

Dozer whines when he knows the Kids are due home from School. and if he is in the crate in the morning,,,,, and he thinks its time to get up, then when we eat he goes into the washroom he can see out and hears us,, but he has to WHINE so loud that the Kids will just laugh and giggle. maybe thats his goal.make them spit food at me while eating !

Schatzi (maltese) just looks at him, gets up and walks away with the look"
Good gawd just shuuuuuuuut up!!!!!!"

Bayleigh whines every morning when I am getting ready for work. She knows that she gets to go in her crate and get a kong.

Peyton will whine or woo when she needs to go outside which would not be so bad if she wasn't standing on my chest and looking down at me while doing so... she cracks me up when she woo's i wish she would do it a little more often.

I wouldn't really consider what buster does as whining, it's more of a grumbling sound and if that doesn't work he starts barking. When he wants us to play with a toy he'll go get it and give us the "aren't I adorable" look and paw at us.
When he was a little younger, and we were trying to teach him that the things on the coffee table were off limits, we would tell him "no" and that would completely tick him off. He hates to be told no, he starts growling and barking and huffin and puffin. It's hilarious.

Jada whines about everything. All I have to do is say "poor baby" and I can start her whining. It got a little better when we got Delilah(puppy) her new friend. It is a part of her, I think its cute when she whines and then tilts her head.
