Diva never ceases to astound me by the fact that nothing seems to faze her. Same as Stella - you can accidently stand on her foot and she doesn't make a peep, all she does is extract her paw from under your foot. She seems to have an amazingly high pain barrier - even when she got some wire stuck through her nose at the park (she did scream with this), and there was blood streaming down her face, all she wanted once she was freed was for me to throw the ball again!

Monty on the other hand is a wuss. Yelps at anything and sometimes I gotta wonder how much of a hollywood is involved. He is a little skittish also but then he is in the midst of adolescence - I hope it is over sooner rather than later. :( He is a fantastic warning and guard dog though and his bark sounds a lot more ferocious than he looks. :D

Please tell me it was a cactus needle and not the whole cactus. Because.....OUCH!!

I pulled about 4 quills out of his little ball! OUCH is right! But the little man didn't care much. I sure felt bad for him though!

Both my male and female are equally stoic. When I had Bella Marie neutered, she only whined about it once for less than 5 minutes. That was the day after her surgery! One time I stepped on Petey, and the only thing he did was look at me like, "Did you do that on purpose?" I think it is because he was abused, he thinks any kind of pain is because I am trying to hurt. Don't know, just a guess.

Bella is more confident in general, she wants to know who is knocking on the door, whereas Petey will run to the door, then hal a$$ through the doggie door trying to get away. It is really funny to watch a big boy like that (70 lbs.) run like the wind.

Monty is a wuss...or wimp as we call them

Bless my lad....I love him to bits but he is a mummy's boy:D

Now his sister Sophie is a different kettle of fish..

Sophie loves to come and stay at my house....she jumps and skips along with me.....never giving my sister as much as a backward glance.....on the other hand when I have to leave Monty with Pat....my lad just witters and cries.

Poor Pat had a terrible fall the other day...she had taken Sophie out for a walk and had just come back through their gate when Sophie jumped up and somehow wrapped her lead arround Pats ankles....down poor Pat went and had to crawl to their door and ring the door bell....she couldn't get up......well her hubby Ted had just broken his arm and suffers from ruemoited arthritis so he couldn't take her to the hospital.....they rang me to come and take Sophie....I arrived just as the taxi did.....poor Pat was in agony.....she had a broken rib and could hardly breathe....as the taxi past us...Sophie was skipping away with me on her way to her brothers.....without a care in the world....I had Sophie all night and she just settled down in Monty's basket....she is just a wonderful adaptable girl.

On the other hand my lad just hates to be away from me.....Pat takes wonderful care of him but it's like trying to leave a child that wants to be with it's mum...hehe

Monty is deffinately a big big wuss

I'm so sorry but I am DYING laughing right now--just reading those lines out loud made me teary because I was laughing so hard.... My fiance cringed and didn't think it was so funny.... Shew--poor baby--I know that must have been horrible for him...(still laughing very hard while being sincere because I do truly feel sad for his trial with his cacti ball!)

The Males

Oh boy, the males. Booker T is the biggest emotional wussey boy. If he even suspects I am displeased with him, he looks as if you just stabbed him in the heart.

I have a hard time ever being cross with him because he takes it so hard.

Crystal, on the other hand, will simply bark right back at me as if to say: "You're not so big!" :D

All my boys are softies.
They have to be cause the girls pick on them and beat them up!

Okko hates riding in other peoples cars but those traitor girls would ride with the Devil himself! evilicon

Over the years we have had many males and females and generally the boys are wusses and the girls are quite hardy.
Bit like us humans eh? ROFL  ;)

Males!
My first male was such a pretty boy! He pranced around the neighborhood on our walks, never went in the rain or got dirty. My female is a tomboy. My next male, is such a momma's boy. If he is tired he sighs so huge and plops in my lap. He is the biggest baby. I promised him he could always be the baby. I have had a few male fosters who were huge babies too! My last foster male was well over 70 pounds and he was a HUGE baby.
The males I have had are emotional softies and big mushes. My female is much more "high strung" if that is the right phrase. Her tail moves like a hummingbird, while my males' tails did more of a slow, clock tick. Their boxer wiggles go further and slower back and forth and her whole hind end just vibrates!
I have seen my male pout. I can't say Jilly has ever "pouted".

(-: mommy to Jillian, Tulley, and Colby too

Draco ( My male who is at the Bridge) was a BIG BIG wuss.........he was a Momma's boy and so is my present male Argos. Something goes wrong and he has to be at Mommy's side looking absolutely heart broken. My female on the other hand seems to be made of a stronger material. But I have had her for only a month so I am yet to evalute her
