Is there one site that any of you trust. I tried to look up barf(ie..raw) feeding for you pets and how to start and so many different sites came up. they basically say the same thing but some say only raw and a couple of the others do offer(recommend) a raw packaged foods. i read somewhere of a book but i can't find it now and i didn't write it down. please help.

I found "Switching to Raw" (the book JulieM recommended)very easy to read and get started with. I also ordered this book Raw Dog Food:Make it easy for you and your dog That was a great book. The author was very to the point and had a great sense of humor. :) I found it cheapest at Amazon. Get those two books, they're very informative.

I know it is very confusing when you first want to switch over to BARF. I found the two most useful books for me were "Give Your Dog a Bone" and "The BARF Diet", both by Dr Ian Billinghurst. They are well written and easy to read and understand. They can be purchased online at www.barfworld.com.

It may take a while to get into the swing of BARFing compared to just putting a scoop of kibble into a bowl, but once you get the foundations and do it for a couple of weeks it becomes pretty easy.

I am glad I made the switch with Nikki... he loves it and he is SO healthy.

Good Luck with your research!
